U Mumba moved to the second spot in the PKL 11 Points table.

U Mumba faced a late scare but ultimately prevailed over the Tamil Thalaivas in Pro Kabaddi League 11 (PKL 11), securing a 35-32 victory at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Thursday. Manjeet led the raiding department for U Mumba, scoring 10 points, including eight raid points, alongside Ajit Chouhan’s eight raid points.

The first half of this PKL 11 clash showcased a dominant U Mumba performance. In the 6th minute, U Mumba successfully inflicted an ALL OUT, clearing all Tamil Thalaivas players off the mat. This gave the Sunil Kumar-led team a strong early advantage, as their aggressive and effective play set the tone in the opening period.

U Mumba continued to apply pressure throughout the half. In the 18th minute, Ajit Chouhan executed a SUPER RAID, eliminating two Tamil Thalaivas defenders, which further extended U Mumba’s lead. By the end of the first half, the score was 23-12 in favor of U Mumba, granting them a substantial lead heading into the break.

The second half of this PKL 11 match saw U Mumba maintaining their lead and control, extending it to 10 points with just five minutes left. It took Tamil Thalaivas’ Sachin Tanwar 24 minutes to score his first point of the match, taking out U Mumba’s Amirmohammad Zafardanesh.

Ajit Chouhan and Manjeet continued to work in tandem, sustaining U Mumba’s dominance in the second half. The Tamil Thalaivas seemed unable to counter U Mumba’s moves, struggling in every facet of the game.

The usually dependable raiders, Narender Kandola and Sachin Tanwar struggled to make an impact, with Sachin finally scoring his first point after 24 minutes but finishing with minimal contributions.

With the match nearing its end, Tamil Thalaivas’ Moein Shafaghi shifted to a raider role, executing a Super Raid to take out Sunil Kumar, Sombir, and Manjeet, inflicting an ALL OUT on U Mumba. However, it came too late in PKL 11’s thrilling contest, as U Mumba held on to clinch a narrow three-point victory.
