PKL 11 finalists dominate Team of the season
These players performed exceptionally throughout the season.
After two and a half months of exciting action, Pro Kabaddi League 2024 (PKL 11) is over. Haryana Steelers made history by clinching their first-ever title, defeating the Patna Pirates 32-23 in the final. Shivam Patare led the charge for the champions with 9 points, Mohammadreza Shadloui contributed 7, and Vinay added 6 to seal the victory.
PKL 11 kept fans on the edge of their seats throughout the season, delivering unforgettable moments and showcasing remarkable individual performances. As the season concluded, the league celebrated its standout players who played a pivotal role in making this year’s competition unforgettable. From breathtaking raids to solid defensive efforts, some of these players left a lasting impact on the mat in PKL 11.
On that note, let’s have a look at the seven best players of Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) who have been included in Khel Now’s Team of the Season.
Center – Devank Dalal
The star of the season Devank Dalal, has been the cornerstone of Patna Pirates‘ success in PKL 11. The star raider scored 301 raid points in 24 matches. He has 18 Super 10s to his name at an average of 12.7 raids in most matches.
Right In – Ashu Malik
The best raider of last season Ashu Malik continued his form for Dabang Delhi in PKL 11. In the absence of Naveen Kumar, Ashu led the team by example. The right-raider scored 262 points in PKL 11 from 23 matches and single-handedly won Dabang Delhi quite a few games this season.
Left In – Nitesh Kumar
For a team that finished ninth this season in PKL 11, Nitesh Kumar had been a standout performer for Tamil Thalaivas. Despite their struggle in the league stages, Nitesh recorded 77 tackle points in 22 matches and was awarded the Defender of the Season.
Left Corner – Mohmmadreza Shadloui
The MVP of PKL 11, Mohammadreza Shadloui was the lynchpin of Haryana Steelers’ defence in PKL 11. The Iranian defender was roped in for ₹2.1 crore which he has paid back with dividends. He recorded 82 tackle points in 24 matches, the most by any defender in PKL 11.
Right Corner – Rahul Sethpal
If Shadloui has excelled on the left for Haryana Steelers, Rahul Sethpal has maintained the form in the right. The experienced defender accumulated an impressive 73 tackle points in 24 matches with a remarkable tackle success rate of 59% and averaging 2.75 successful tackles per match.
Right Cover – Deepak Singh
Deepak Singh was yet another standout performer for Patna Pirates this season. Playing 25 matches, he earned an impressive 64 tackle points, averaging 2.52 successful tackles per match. With 133 tackles attempted, he maintained a tackle success rate of 47%. Deepak also delivered four High 5s while adding one Super Tackle to his name.
Left Cover – Reza Mirbagheri
While Jaipur Pink Panthers had quite an inconsistent season, alongside captain Arjun Deshwal and Ankush Rathee, Reza Mirbagheri has been the only player who has performed consistently in PKL 11.
Across 23 matches, he accumulated 58 tackle points, with an impressive average of 2.34 successful tackles per match. Attempting 105 tackles, he achieved a tackle success rate of 51%, proving his reliability as a defender. Eza also registered two High 5s and executed four Super Tackles.
