Week 8 of PKL 11 was no different, as several defenders showcased their brilliance, proving to be the backbone of their teams. Their timing, technique, and ability to handle pressure made all the difference. Here’s a look at the top five defenders who truly stood out during this thrilling week.

5. Yogesh Dahiya (Dabang Delhi)

While the duo of Ashu Malik and Naveen ‘Express’ has been on fire for Dabang Delhi in PKL 11, Yogesh Dahiya has also put some commanding performances at the back, and week 8 was no exception. He notches u; six points in three matches this week as Dabang Delhi’s playoff hopes remain high.

4. Ankush Rathee (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

Ankush Rathee has been a stalwart for Jaipur Pink Panthers at the back as they push for the PKL 11 playoffs. He scored eight points in two matches including a high 5 against Jaipur Pink Panthers. Rathee has scored 51 points in 18 matches in PKL 11.

3. Fazel Atrachali (Bengal Warriorz)

The captain and star defender Fazel Atrachali showed why he is called the ‘Sultan’. The Iranian powerhouse scored 11 points in two matches in week 8. He scored a high 5 in the win over Bengaluru Bulls and four points in the draw against UP Yoddhas.

2. Mohammadreza Shadloui (Haryana Steelers)

The number 2 spot this week in PKL 11 belongs to none other than the Iranian Prince, Mohammadreza Shadloui. The all-rounder delivered some commanding performances as Haryana Steelers made their way into the playoffs. He scored 11 points in two matches this week and set the tone for the coming matches.

1. Nitesh Kumar (Bengal Warriorz)

Bengal Warriorz might be mathematically out of contention for PKL 11 playoffs, but players like Nitesh have impressed throughout. He scored 12 points in two matches this week including two high 5s against Bengaluru Bulls and UP Yoddhas. In 17 matches he has scored 44 tackle points this season.
