PKL 12 Auction: Jaipur Pink Panthers bring back star all-rounder Nitin Rawal for 50 lakhs

Bengaluru Bulls released Nitin Rawal ahead of the PKL 12 Auction.
Jaipur Pink Panthers signed Nitin Rawal for INR 50 lakhs at the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) auction after an intense bidding war between multiple teams. He returns to the Pink Panthers after four seasons, having last played for the franchise in PKL Season 8.
The Indian all-rounder has played for three franchises across six seasons, having spent the most time with two-time PKL champions Jaipur Pink Panthers. The upcoming season will mark his second stint and fifth season with the Jaipur-based franchise.
Nitin Rawal is the costliest buy so far on Day 2 of the Pro Kabaddi League 12 player auction. He is listed in Category C – Indian All-Rounder, and teams started the bidding process for the 26-year-old from his base price of INR 20 lakhs.
A look at Nitin Rawal’s PKL Journey
Nitin Rawal made his PKL debut in Season 5 with the Jaipur Pink Panthers. The Indian all-rounder played four seasons with the Pink Panthers between seasons 5 and 8 before moving to the Haryana Steelers. In his debut season, Nitin earned 85 points from 21 matches with the Jaipur-based franchise.
He earned 31, 51, and 24 points, respectively, in the next three seasons with the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Nitin Rawal bagged 44 points from 22 matches with the Haryana Steelers in PKL Season 9. The 26-year-old player wasn’t part of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10.
Nitin returned to PKL in Season 11 with the Bengaluru Bulls. He secured 76 points from 22 games but wasn’t retained by the former PKL champions.
Overall, he has earned 311 points from 103 matches, including 144 raid points and 167 tackle points. Nitin has 7 Super Raids, 2 Super 10s, 18 Super Tackles, and 8 High 5s to his name across raiding and defending in the Pro Kabaddi League.
