PKL 12: Sunil Kumar gives big statement on Ashu Malik after his match winning performance

Dabang Delhi registered their seventh win in PKL 12 by defeating U Mumba.

Dabang Delhi returned to winning ways in style and tore U Mumba to shreds with an emphatic performance on the mat. Delhi brought their A-game to the table and recorded one of their most dominating and high-voltage performances in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12).

Ashu Malik led the charge for Delhi and notched up 23 points in the process to take his side to a 21-point win over U Mumba. With this win, Delhi have reclaimed their spot at the top of the table.

U Mumba captain Sunil Kumar opened up about his thoughts on the game and said, “The match was good till half time. Raiders from both sides were scoring. Our raiders also scored very well. Sandeep gave the team the lead right from the start, but after halftime, neither defense nor offense was played. Mistakes were made on both sides, and the lead became so huge that the match was lost.”

On Ashu Malik’s performance

Ashu Malik recorded his career-best numbers against U Mumba. Sunil Kumar spoke about the same and said, “Absolutely, Ashu is the best raider in the league. He plays Kabaddi intelligently. It is not that he has to score. He tries only when the team needs him. Otherwise, he plays it safe too. He is a good raider, and I hope he plays well in the future too and helps his team win like this.”

Dabang Delhi captain Ashu Malik shared his feelings after a record performance against U Mumba and said, “The feeling is good. Today, the team played very well. We decided not to repeat the mistakes of the last match. We played the same way till half time, but after that we handled the situation and maintained the lead.”

He further added, “You can see the feeling after the match that everyone was happy and was enjoying it thoroughly, and it has also boosted their morale that they have become the table toppers. All the players are playing according to the strategy made by the coach and are doing well.”
