PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 11, Puneri Paltan vs Bengal Warriorz

Both Pune and Bengal have won all their games in PKL 12 so far.

Puneri Paltan are in stellar form, having demonstrated their capabilities to dominate in the first two matches of Pro Kabaddi League 12 (PKL 12). In their next clash, they will face Bengal Warriorz, who also had a massive start to their tournament, beating the defending champions comfortably.

Aslam Inamdar’s Puneri Paltan will face Devank Dalal’s Bengal Warriorz on September 3, 2025. Both teams will be looking for another win. Paltan and Warriorz have shown good form in their short glimpses of the season.

However, it is very early to say which team will go far with consistency. The teams possess their respective weaknesses, and the one that exploits the opponent’s weakness will triumph in the upcoming match.

On that note, let’s take a look at the key battles to watch out for between the Puneri Paltan and Bengal Warriorz in PKL 12.

Manprit vs Abinesh Nadarajan

Manprit debuted against the defending champions, Haryana Steelers, in the previous match and displayed utmost efficiency in that one outing.

He scored a Super-10 against a highly skilled defence, and supported Devank like Ayan Lohchab used to in the previous season. The eyes will be once again on him when he comes out to play against the in-form Paltan’s defence.

One of Manprit’s biggest challenges will be the experienced and consistent defender, Abinesh Nadarajan. Nadarajan has been a tremendous addition to the Paltan since his debut in Season 8.

He has over 175 tackle points. Moreover, he has been a consistent point scorer for them, and he has shown the signs of good rhythm in the previous encounter, where he scored a High 5. It will be interesting to see if Manprit can build on his spark against the in-form opponents.

Aditya Shinde vs Ashish Malik

If Manprit is the growing star for the Warriorz, the Paltan have their own star, Aditya Shinde. Shinde has also been a part of the Paltan for the last few seasons, but he has not gotten many opportunities.

In PKL 12, he has gotten the start he needs in the starting 7, and he has impressed everyone with his skills. Shinde is currently the highest scorer for the Paltan with 15 raid points, with nearly a Super-10 to his name.

Aditya will have to do well if the Warriorz want to achieve a similar result as the first match. For that, the left corner, Ashish Malik, needs to step in.

Malik joined the Warriorz after having a couple of successful seasons with Dabang Delhi. The left corner showed fabulous form in the first match, where he clinched a High 5 against the Steelers. If he can restrict Shinde in the upcoming clash as well, he might get a small opening to victory for his team.

Gaurav Khatri vs Devank Dalal

Now, this is the biggest battle of the day, which will decide most of the match result. Devank Dalal does not just score points; he shatters the defence’s rhythm.

He did that last season as well and continued it in the first match of Season 12, where he scored 21 raid points. If the opponents want to win against the Warriorz, they need to find a way to get Dalal on the bench for a maximum of 40 minutes.

As far as Puneri Paltan are concerned, Gaurav Khatri might be the key to that. Khatri has been stupendous for the Paltan since his debut in season 9.

He had a stellar season 11 and has gotten a good start in PKL 12 as well. Khatri has scored 9 tackle points in 2 matches, including a High 5. Puneri’s will aim to stop Devank, and Khatri can do the job from their side.

If Puneri Paltan wants to be on the winning side in Match 11, they have to find a way to stop the raiding forces of Bengal Warriorz.
