Dabang Delhi the reigning champions have started their season on a confident note winning both their encounters of PKL 9 in the absence of star player Vijay Malik. UP Yoddhas on the other hand has won and lost one encounter losing their previous match to U Mumba and will look to remain consistent.

UP Yoddhas have dominated whenever the two teams have met each other winning 5 times to Dabang Delhi winning only 2 in seven matches overall. UP Yoddhas decimated Dabang Delhi in their last encounter in season 8.

Player to watch

Manjeet provided much-needed support to Naveen Kumar in the absence of Vijay Malik. Overall Manjeet scored 10 points with 8 points in raiding and 2 points in defence. He shall look to put in the same support to Naveen as he did against Telugu Titans helping Delhi to maintain the winning momentum.

Surender Gill has not been at his usual best in PKL 9, scoring minimum points in raiding being the primary raider. Last season in the absence of Pardeep Narwal, Surender took up the responsibility and scored super 10 consistently which is expected in the current season as well. 

Key to Success

UP Yoddhas's defence has looked strong with the likes of deadly combo Sumit and Nitesh Kumar. It is the raiding that needs to step up with Nitin Tomar yet to step up and can play the supporting role well.

Dabang Delhi looks good in both the raiding and defence and will look to continue the momentum. The reigning champions should look to strengthen the bench strength in raiding department who can help Naveen at crucial juncture till Vikay is fully fit.
