07:30 Hello and welcome to Khel Now’s live update of day 10 of PKL season 9.

Tamil Thalaivas vs Patna Pirates

Tamil Thalaivas has once again started the season on a poor note losing two matches on the trot. In the last encounter against U Mumba, Tamil Thalaivas’s only gain was adding a point to their points table. Himanshu was the star scoring 15 points of the 32 the southern team had scored overall. Currently, the team is placed 10th in the points table.

Patna Pirates like Tamil Thalaivas have started PKL season 9 on a poor note losing two matches and occupying the last spot in the points table. Sachin Kumar has been the lone warrior fighting till the end with others showing inconsistency. Patna lost by a 26-point margin against Bengal Warriors in the last encounter denting their confidence.

Head to Head

Patna Pirates and Tamil Thalaivas have faced each other in 10 matches in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which Patna Pirates have won six matches with Tamil Thalaivas coming out victorious on two occasions. Two games have ended in a tie.

Key to Success

The raiders from the Tamil Thalaivas set-up need to attack in the second half rather than playing it safe. Ajinkya Pawar the senior most raider in the absence of Pawan Sehrawat needs to put up a good performance like the previous season. Sagar has stepped up to the captaincy role very well scoring nine tackle points in the last two games after taking up the captaincy.

The raiders have not provided enough support to Sachin Tawar hurting the raiding department. Rohit Gulia performed well in the second match but has remained inconsistent. If the left-right duo performs well then the team can look lethal. In the defence, Sajin couldn’t score a single point against Bengal Warriors in the last match with Chiyaneah scoring four points in his comeback.

Did you know

Patna Pirates have remained unbeaten against Tamil Thalaivas since season 7 with three wins and a tie.

Dabang Delhi vs Haryana Steelers

Dabang Delhi KC the reigning champions continue their stellar form and have remained unbeaten in the first four games of PKL 9 sitting pretty in the first position. Apart from Naveen, the team as a whole has been performing well from raiders to defence putting up equal contributions. Dabang Delhi KC beat Telugu Titans in the last encounter by a 20-point margin stamping their authority. They will play Haryana Steelers.

Haryana Steelers on the other hand had a good start to the season winning the first two matches but losing to Jaipur Pink Panthers in the last encounter. Unlike Dabang Delhi they are not playing effectively as a team rather are heavily depending on a single player to do well. Currently, the Haryana Steelers occupy the 4th spot in the points table.

Head to Head

Dabang Delhi K.C. and Haryana Steelers have faced each other in 10 matches in Pro Kabaddi League out of which, Dabang Delhi K.C. has won 3 matches with Haryana Steelers coming out victorious on other 7 occasions.

Key to Success

For Harayana Steelers with Meetu coming back to form the duo of Manjeet Dahiya and Meetu can start to perform well simultaneously. Manjeeth performed well in the first two matches but could only score three points in the third match. Meetu on the hand scored three points in the first two matches and scored 16 points in the next match. They both need to show up in a single match and put up a team effort.

Dabang Delhi looks pretty much settled in all the departments and if Vijay Malik makes an entry in the coming matches then the team can become stronger. In the last match, neither Sandeep Dhull nor Amit Hooda made to playing 7 who is one of the most experienced defenders in PKL. The defenders are supporting the raiders and have good depth.

Did you know

Meetu from Haryana Steelers is just six points short of reaching the 100 raid points mark having first debuted in the PKL in season 8.
