Patna Pirates vs Jaipur Pink Panthers

Patna Pirates tied their 1st match in PKL 9 against Puneri Paltan and on the other hand, Jaipur Pink Panthers lost a close encounter against Bengaluru Bulls but gained a solitary point losing with a gap of fewer than 7 points.

Head to Head

Jaipur Pink Panthers and Patna Pirates have met each other 16 times with Patna holding a slender lead of 9-7. In PKL season 8, Jaipur Pink Panthers won both their encounters comprehensively.

Key to Success

The raiding of Jaipur needs to click. With Arjun Deshwal, and Ajith in the mix the raiding did not look great in the last game. Arjun was not at his best being a primary raider. Being Jaipur’s best raider he did not take up the responsibility of going for the final raid instead sent Ajith Kumar. Arjun needs to shoulder more responsibilities.

Patna Pirates needs its raiding department to prosper apart from Sachin Tanwar. Rohit Gulia needs to support Sachin as the secondary raider which he failed in the first encounter of PKL 9. The defence has looked quite strong.

Telugu Titans vs Bengal Warriors

Both Telugu Titans and Bengal Warriors are coming off a defeat from their respective opening encounters. Telugu Titans opened their account with a point losing out in a close battle against the Bengaluru Bulls. Bengal Warriors on the other hand looked didn’t look consistent throughout the 2nd half even after failing to secure the all-out points.

Key to Success

For Bengal Warriors Girish Ernak should look to be consistent across both halves of the match. Girish needs to be conscience about his advance tackles which cost Bengal Warriors a handful of points against Haryana Steelers. Even though he scored a high 5 he missed out on crunch situations. Deepak Hooda needs to show up both in the raiding and help out the defence when required.

Bengaluru Bulls vs Puneri Paltan

Puneri Paltan will face Bengaluru Bulls in the final game on Sunday. This will be Puneri’s second PKL 2022 match. Puneri Paltan tied their first game against Patna Pirates on Saturday. While Puneri’s opponents, the Bengaluru Bulls, will be looking for their second win of the season. They defeated the Telugu Titans by a score of 34-29 at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. Neeraj Narwal was the standout performer for them as he scored 7 raid points.

Key to success

For Bulls to win the game their defense will have to stop the likes of Mohit Goyat and Aslam Inamdar. Paltan’s defense in the absence of Fazel played well in the first game of PKL 9 so they’d hope to continue the same momentum in game 2.
