07:30 Hello and welcome to Khel Now's live update of day 8 of PKL season 9.

Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Gujarat Giants

Gujarat Giants have not started the PKL season 9 on a great note, losing and tying a game each and presently sitting in the last place in the points table. Jaipur Pink Panthers, after losing the first match, bounced back strongly to occupy the sixth spot in the points table.

Head to Head

In the 10 matches played Gujarat Giants has won six encounters with Jaipur Pink Panthers winning three.

Player to watch

Rakesh Kumar after a successful start to the season will look to put on a consistent performance going into the game. He is the lone warrior in raiding for Gujarat Giants and has not gotten support from the secondary raiders.

Ajith Kumar after being bought for a hefty price in PKL 9 has not put in his best. He has the potential to score more points and will be of great support to Arjun Deshwal if he gets out.

Telugu Titans vs Dabang Delhi

Dabang Delhi KC, the reigning champions, continue their stellar form and have remained unbeaten in the first three games taking the first position in PKL 9. Telugu Titans after a poor start came back stronger in their last game and look set to extend their momentum and good form.

Head to Head

In the 14 encounters, Telugu TItans have won eight times with Dabang Delhi winning five times. Only one has ended in a tie.

Player to watch

Siddharth Desai after a poor start in the first two matches looked good in the last encounter against the Patna Pirates scoring seven raid points. With good height, Siddharth can take more bonus points to increase his confidence and momentum.

Manjeeth has been supporting Naveen Kumar as a secondary raider in the absence of Vijay Malik. In their previous encounter against UP Yoddhas Manjeeth scored 12 raid points equivalent to Naven who scored 13 points.

Bengal Warriors vs Patna Pirates

Patna Pirates, the three-time champions, have come up short up until now in Pro Kabaddi League PKL season 9. They have many of the same players from the season 8 journey. This season, however, they appear to be lacking in form. While the Warriors after a disappointing season 8, are back on track. The Bengal Warriors have won back-to-back games after a slow start in which they were defeated by the Haryana Steelers.

Head to head

Bengal Warriors and Patna Pirates have met in 19 Pro Kabaddi matches. Bengal Warriors have won four of these 19 games, while Patna Pirates have won 12 of them. Three matches ended in a tie.

Players to watch

For the Warriors, their captain and raider Maninder Singh has maintained his strong performance with 29 raid points, including two super raids. He would once again be tasked with doing the bulk of the raiding. On the other hand for the Pirates, raiders Sachin Tanwar and Rohit Gulia have combined for 44 raid points in three games. They too will have to play out of their skin if Patna has to win their first game.
