PKL 9: Iranian players won’t be a part of initial matches

Somehow they are managing their return to India.
Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 9 has already begun with Dabang Delhi beating U Mumba in the opening game of the league. We have already witnessed some spectacular games so far, and the franchises are battling hard to maintain their consistency. With PKL fever right up there on every fan’s mind, a big news has come up which could affect some major results in the league. Let’s take a glance at what it is:
Iranian players unable to come to India due to visa issues
It could be a major setback for the teams that have Iranian players as they are yet to arrive in India for the league. The players are facing visa issues and will surely be unable to take part in the initial stages of PKL. There are a total of 13 players, including the iconic Fazal Atrachali, who is the main player for Puneri Paltan. The Paltan managed to draw the battle against Patna Pirates 34-34 in their first game. However, the side would want their leader, Atrachali, to join the force soon.
Mohammad Nabibakhsh, Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh also not available
Apart from Fazal Atrachali, another Iranian player, Mohammad Nabibakhsh, will be missed by Puneri Paltan. Both of these players were the first ones to be bought by the Paltan in the auction. Their absence would affect the points table for sure and also the performance of Puneri Paltan in the initial matches.
Three-time champions Patna Pirates will also miss Mohammadreza Chiyaneh, who was outstanding in his debut season. He was the most successful defender in the previous edition by earning the most tackle points. This could become the reason for the downfall of the Patna Pirates this time. They would be hoping to get him back soon.
Before the tournament, there were a few Iranian players who attended the pre-camp session in India but went back after their sessions. Not getting visas again is a major concern for every Kabaddi fan. Hopefully, the players will get their visas soon so that they can join their respective franchises.
