PKL 9: Predicted starting seven of Telugu Titans

Telugu Titans won just one match out of 22 games in the previous edition.

If we talk about a team that has some of the finest players, then it has to be the Telugu Titans this time. With Siddharth Desai, Monu Goyat, and Surjeet Singh in the squad, the Telugu Titans look like one of the strongest teams in the upcoming edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). Assistant Coach Manjeet Chhillar had a brilliant auction with some great picks in the form of the above-mentioned players. At least for their first few games, with the PKL starting in a few days from now, every team must be prepared with their combination. Raiders (Siddharth Desai, Monu Goyat, Abhishek Singh)

Telugu Titans bought all three raiders in the auction, and this was one of the best picks by the franchise. Siddharth Desai, who has been returning to the Telugu Titans, will look to give his best once again. Abhishek Singh had a great previous season with 177 points, while Monu Goyat played an important role in the Patna Pirates’ success last year.

Though the Titans retained Rajnish and Ankit Beniwal ahead of the auction, the inclusion of the big three could make both Beniwal and Rajnish sit in the dugout. If Abhishek, Desai and Goyat remain injury-free, then the Telugu Titans can lift their first title this time.

Defenders (Surjeet Singh, Vishal Bharadwaj, Parvesh Bhainswal, and Ravinder Pahal)

Not only raiding, but the Telugu Titans are also superb on paper when it comes to defense. They bought one of the finest cover defenders this time in the form of Surjeet Singh, who will join Parvesh Bhainswal. Surjeet is the fifth most successful defender in PKL history with 331 tackle points in 114 matches. It won’t be surprising if Surjeet leads the Titans this time because of his rich experience in captaincy. Left cover defender Parvesh has also scored 248 tackle points in 101 matches so far.

Vishal Bharadwaj and Ravinder Pahal will be the corner defenders this time for the Titans. Both of them have tasted an enormous amount of success in the PKL history. The Telugu Titans have covered all their bases and if they play to their full potential, then this could be the year for them.
