PKL 9: Puneri Paltan Fixtures and Schedule

The team will be looking to make a strong impact with one of the best squads in the league.

Puneri Paltan qualified for the playoffs after finishing 6th in the last PKL season, under the leadership of Legend Anup Kumar. Puneri Paltan has one of, if not the best squad on paper with the right mixture of youth and experience. It seemed like the management knew whom they wanted to pursue at the auction. The franchise went all out on the Iranian duo early on in the auction.

The Paltan parted ways with Anup Kumar and brought in PKL-winning coach Shri BC Ramesh ahead of the auction. With the quality of the squad, it will not be surprising if Puneri Paltan achieves glory this season. They are deemed by many, as one of the favourites to win the PKL Trophy.

The fixtures list is out, and the Paltan lock horns with the Pirates from Patna in their opening encounter of PKL Season 9.

The one encounter of Puneri Paltan to watch out for would be the iconic “Maharashtra Derby”. The fixture will have a bit more spice to it this season, involving the homecoming of former U Mumba Captain and Legend Fazel Atrachali.

Players to watch out for Puneri Paltan

Paltan's have a young and formidable raiding unit. NYP Stars Aslam Inamdar and Mohit Goyat had their breakthrough debut seasons for Puneri Paltan in PKL Season 8. They have let go of the experience of Nitin Tomar and Rahul Chaudhari and replaced them with the energetic Mohammad Nabibaksh. 

They have bolstered their defensive unit by adding Fazel and Nabibaksh. Not to forget, the chemistry between Fazel and Nabibaksh could prove vital for the Puneri Paltan. Both Fazel and Nabi bring in experience and a winning mentality along with them.

The fans of the Puneri Paltan should be excited about the reunion of Head Coach Shri BC Ramesh and his trusted knight Moein Nabibaksh.
