'Hi Flyer' got injured in the first game of the season.

The Super Saturday of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) witnessed two tie games, and one of them was Tamil Thalaivas vs Gujarat Giants, which ended at 31-31. Though both teams played exceptionally well, the injury to Pawan Sehrawat became the talking point of the match. During the initial moments of the game, the iconic player from the Thalaivas injured his ankle and straightaway went outside to the medical team. Now, there is some positive news coming in from the sources that the legendary player is fine and might be back after couple of matches.

Pawan Sehrawat, the most expensive player in Pro Kabaddi League history, was paid 2.26 crore by the Tamil Thalaivas. His contributions to his respective teams have been enormous over the years, and the Thalaivas were hoping for a miracle from Pawan this season.

When can Pawan be back?

The Thalaivas played brilliantly even in the absence of their skipper, Pawan Sehrawat. Pawan, who has been the hot favourite in the past few seasons, could only manage to do two raids before getting injured. His injury looked serious at that time as he couldn’t walk at that time and had to go via stretcher to the medical team.

Pawan Sehrawat’s return is difficult for the next couple of games, but keeping in mind the longevity of the tournament, he might be back from the game against Patna Pirates, set to be played on October 17. Currently, he is doing perfectly fine but would like to give himself some break before making a return.

First game ended in a tie with 31-31

Despite Pawan Sehrawat’s early exit, the Tamil Thalaivas kept their momentum in the game and finished the battle in a fine draw. They started off really well and gained a lead in the first half, but some exceptional efforts from the Gujarat Giants in the next half gave this match a perfect result. In the first match, Thalaivian Narendra played his level best and scored a sensational Super 10.
