PKL 12 Auction: Jaipur Pink Panthers sign Nitin Dhankar at 1.002 cr

Nitin Dhankar previously played for Bengal Warriorz at the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 and 11
Nitin Dhankar was sold for a great price of ₹1.002 crores to Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) auction. This was the first purchase of the auction for the Jaipur Pink Panthers
U Mumba started the bidding for Nitin Dhankar, followed by the Jaipur Pink Panthers, and we saw a fierce bidding between the two teams. With U Mumba backed out at 75, a new entrant, Haryana Steelers, entered the fray
Both teams were keen on getting the right raider. Jaipur, who let go of Arjun Deshwal, was in desperate need of a raider, and they went all out for Nitin. Even Haryana, who hadn’t made any buys, was keenly bidding on Nitin and desperately wanted him on the team.
However, it was Jaipur who emerged as the victor after a fierce battle with Haryana Steelers, as they bought a great raider, Nitin Dhankar, for ₹1.002 crores, adding a proven performer to lead their new raiding unit.
Nitin’s inclusion will be a perfect fit for the Jaipur Pink Panthers, and he can easily replicate the role of Arjun Deshwal, whose service they will miss this season. Jaipur will now be looking for a decent support raider to address their raiding problem from last year, where they struggled badly in the raiding department with no adequate support from the other raiders.
A look at Nitin Dhankar’s PKL Journey
Despite being the top raider for Bengal Warriorz last season, Nitin Dhankhar’s release was a surprising decision. Nitin has shown immense promise over the last two seasons. He made his debut in season 10 with Bengal Warriorz.
In his debut season, he racked up 169 raid points in 20 matches, scoring 8 super 10s and 9 super raids, impressing everyone. His ability to play both as the lead and supporting raider makes him a versatile and valuable option. In season 11, he scored 118 points in 14 matches and was the best raider for Bengal Warriorz. He scored 6 super 10s and 4 super raids in the last season.
