Top 5 players with most Raid points in the first season of PKL

These players have contributed a lot in making the league a success.

The first season of the Pro Kabaddi League saw a lot of players put in top performances. Everyone wanted to leave their mark in the first season of the league. The first season had a big hand in the league’s popularity and success in the recent years. The first season was dominated by big names of the international stage.

If we look at the raiders then we can see that the experienced raiders were the ones who were dominating in the first season of PKL. Here is a list of the top 5 raiders of the first season of the Pro Kabaddi League:

5. Kashiling Adake

Kashiling Adake is one of the most experienced players of Pro Kabaddi League. He has been a part of the League in all of the first six seasons. Adake represented Dabang Delhi in the first season of PKL. He played in 14 matches and accumulated 113 raid points. He is 5th in our list. Kashiling Adake has earned  more than 100 points in 3  different seasons. The last team he played for was Bengaluru Bulls.

4. Ajay Thakur

The former captain of the Indian Kabaddi Team and Asian Games medalist Ajay Thakur was one of the star players of the first season. He put in a brilliant display for Bengaluru Bulls in the first season. He played 15 matches and had 122 raid points against his name. The recent seasons hasn’t been very good for Ajay Thakur but he was one of the star performers of the first few seasons and was a match winner for his team. Ajay Thakur was a part of Dabang Delhi in the fourth season of PKL but he left the team halfway through the season.

3. Maninder Singh

Bengal Warrior’s Maninder Singh has been one of the consistent performers from the very first season. He has the second highest raid points in PKL history. He has played a total of 101 matches and earned 993 points and is expected to cross the 1000 point mark in the next season. In the first season he was a part of the Jaipur Pink Panthers who went on to be the champions.  Maninder played a big part in that win. He had made 16 appearances for Jaipur and accumulated 130 raid points. He hasn’t looked back since then.

2. Rahul Chaudhari

The “Show Man” Rahul Chaudhari earned 151 raid points in 14 matches in the first season of the PKL. He represented Telegu Titans in the first season and was a part of their team for six seasons. He then moved on to represent teams like Tamil Thalaivas and Puneri Paltan. Rahul Chaudhari was the first person to win 800 points in PKL history.  He won the best raider award in the fourth season. He has many more records to his name.

1. Anup Kumar

Anup Kumar, also known as Captain Cool, made the beginning of the Pro Kabaddi League a memorable one. He represented U Mumba in the first season of the PKL and won 169 raid points for his team. He was named the most valuable player in the very first season. After having been part of the game as a player Anup Kumar is now serving as a coach after retirement.
