There was a tremendous between the two teams, Delhi won by a difference of just one point. The Patna Pirates missed out on becoming the champions of the PKL for the fourth time.

Dabang Delhi may have won the title, but the performance of many players during the entire competition was exemplary. Both old and new players left their mark in the tournament. Amazing performances were seen in both raiding and defence. Let us now see which players have made it to the Team of the Tournament.

Raiders

Pawan Sehrawat (Bengaluru Bulls)

Bengaluru Bulls captain Pawan Sehrawat, like every season, showed himself in raiding. He was the player to get the most raid points in PKL 8. Pawan Sehrawat scored 320 points in 24 matches. He was the most successful raider of the season.

Apart from this, he also scored the maximum 18 Super 10s. Sehrawat is largely credited for helping Bengaluru Bulls reach the semi-finals. He single-handedly led the team to victory in many matches.

Naveen Kumar (Dabang Delhi)

Dabang Delhi won the title and tears of joy were clearly visible in the eyes of the "Naveen Express." Like the seventh season, Naveen brought consecutive points for Dabang Delhi in the eighth season as well.

During this, he also went through an injury, but made a comeback before the playoffs and proved that he has become a star player by scoring a Super 10 in the final match. Kumar scored 210 points in 17 matches in the tournament and scored 12 Super 10s.

If Dabang Delhi are the champions of the PKL today, then a lot of credit goes to all-rounder Vijay Malik. The raider got Delhi back in the match by scoring super raids twice in the final and from here the capital side took the lead against Patna. Malik scored a total of 14 points in the final, including a tackle point.

Vijay Malik played 23 matches in total and scored 162 points during this period. In the absence of Naveen Kumar, he took over the responsibility of raiding very well.

Mohammadreza Chiyaneh (Patna Pirates)

Patna Pirates' Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Chiyaneh set many records during the eighth season of the PKL. He was the player with the most tackle points in the season. Mohammadreza scored 89 tackle points.

Apart from this, he also scored 10 high-fives. Impressed by his performance, Patna Pirates coach Ram Meher Singh called him the "tiger of the team"’ After Fazal Atrachali, Mohammadreza is the second player from Iran to have achieved so much as an all-rounder.

Defenders

Sagar (Tamil Thalaivas)

The team of Tamil Thalaivas finished 11th in the points table in the eighth season of the PKL. The team had to face defeat in most of the matches, while others were tied. Despite all this, Sagar forged a different identity in the defence. He was the second highest tackle point earner in PKL Season 8.

Sagar scored 82 tackle points in 22 matches and also carved out eight high-fives. Apart from this, he also made eight super tackles. He also finished second in the league in terms of most successful tackles. Sagar showed with his performances that he can set many records in the coming seasons.

Jaideep (Haryana Steelers)

Haryana Steelers had a veteran defender like Surender Nada in the team. However, Jaideep played better than him and made his place in the top five defenders of the PKL. He finished second in terms of most tackles.

Jaideep scored a total of 66 tackle points in 22 matches. During this, he scored five high-fives. He also made five super tackles. Considering Jaideep's average and his tackle ability under pressure, we have given him a place in the team.
