This brings to an end the Day 2 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 auctions. The biggest story will definitely be around Pardeep Narwal. The star raider went for an eye-popping record-breaking amount of 1.65 cr to U.P Yoddha. Siddharth Sirish Desai was retained by Telugu Titans for 1.30 cr, after they exercised the FBM option on him. On the other hand, Rahul Chaudhari went for a surprisingly low amount of just 40 lakhs to Puneri Paltan. The surprising buy of the evening was Rohit Gulia by Haryana Steelers for an amount of 83 lakhs. The all-rounder will now have to prove his worth, especially after his base price was just 30 lakhs.

In Season 6, six players hit the one crore mark. On the other hand, two kabaddi players, including Siddharth Desai and Nitin Tomar, crossed the eight-figure mark, for Season 7. Neither of them has been retained by their respective teams for PKL Season 8. This player auction pool is divided into four categories: Category A, B, C and D.  Base Prices are as follows: Category A is INR 30 lakhs, B is INR 20 lakhs, C INR 10 lakhs and D is INR 6 lakhs.

3:15 PM Hello and welcome to Khel Now’s Live Updates of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 Player Auction

The much-anticipated Pro Kabaddi Player Auction is back with more excitement than ever. The bidding war starts soon. We witnessed the new young players draft on opening day. On the second day, we will see overseas players and category A domestic players up for grabs. The third and final day will see the auction of categories B, C, D and unallocated players.

As such, it will be an enticing auction in which several top players will be up for grabs. Teams will be aiming to strengthen their squads with the acquisition of several big names. Bengal Warriors are the defending champions, having won their inaugural title in the year 2019.

The Pro Kabaddi League 2021 auction will be a three-day affair. It is starting on August 29 with more than 450 players set to go under the hammer in Mumbai. The 12 teams need to make up their respective squads for PKL Season 8. They have collectively released 161 players ahead of the new campaign.

Most of the released players have been added to the auction pool, which also has additions from the domestic field. Players from the top eight ranked teams of the senior national kabaddi championships of the last two seasons and overseas players too make up the pool.
