After the match, head coach Ram Mehar Singh and player Sachin Tanwar spoke to the media and shared their thoughts.
Secret to success
The Pirates have been the best side in the tournament and are currently at the peak of the standings. The head coach shared the secret behind the Pirates’ lethal raiding unit.
“All the players have a good synergy and the raiders practice on their skills. If one raider doesn’t pick up points, the second one will. And if the second one doesn’t, the third one will and so on. That’s the secret,” said Ram Mehar Singh.
Thoughts on Guman SIngh
Guman Singh pulled off a spectacular Super 10 against U Mumba. Coach Ram Mehar Singh shared his thoughts on Guman’s Super 10. He said, “It’s good. He is slowly gaining confidence. He’s speedy, confident and his skills and endurance are also very good. Guman has a lot to offer. He’ll gain confidence match-after-match, which will be beneficial for the team.”
Guman Singh has secured a starting seven place to his name with his heroics in the last few matches. Sachin Tanwar was all praise for his teammate. He said, “He’s a very good raider. We have told him to not think about anything else and play his natural game. Coach sahab has given him a free role and has asked him to play his game and give his best.”
