It was one of the most entertaining seasons for the fans.

In season 7 of the Pro Kabaddi league, Bengal Warriors became champions for the first time as they defeated star-studded Dabang Delhi K.C. in an exciting final.

Despite all the hard-fought encounters in the competition in season 7, there are a few matches that stood out. Here’s the list of the top-five edge-of-the-seat thrillers:

5. Bengaluru Bulls 40-39 Patna Pirates

Pardeep Narwal’s astonishing four-point raid took Patna Pirates to a commanding 17-9 lead early on in the match. However, Bengaluru Bulls refused to go down so easily and fought back with Pawan Sehrawat leading the charge.

The Hi-Flyer matched Pardeep Narwal’s aggression with his skilful gameplay and his two-point raid in the last minute of the game sealed the match for the Bengaluru Bulls. Pawan also achieved the 500 raid point milestone with that particular raid.

While the onus was on Siddharth Desai to shine in his debut season for Telugu Titans, it was his elder brother Suraj Desai who stole the limelight in his Pro Kabaddi League debut. Suraj Desai amassed 18 points on the night to lead the attack for his team.

His four-point super raid in the second half took Telugu Titans within touching distance of a win but Naveen Kumar ultimately took Dabang Delhi over the line with 14 points to his name.

3. Tamil Thalaivas 35-33 Jaipur Pink Panthers

Deepak Hooda was sensational that season

With a sensational Super 10, Ajith Kumar guided his side to a memorable win. This victory was special for the Thalaivas because it was for the first time in the history of the Pro Kabaddi league that Tamil Thalaivas defeated Jaipur Pink Panthers.

Deepak Hooda’s Jaipur were on the verge of inflicting an all-out in the first half but failed miserably, twice. Trailing by 33-34, the Pink Panthers had the chance to turn things around at the last minute but it was an unfortunate mistake by Nilesh Salunke that cost them the match.

2. Bengal Warriors 25-25 Gujarat Fortunegiants

Rohit Gulia put on an exceptional second-half showing and scored five raid point without being tackled even once

Bengal Warriors were leading by two points at the stroke of half-time, but Sunil Kumar & Co. managed to bounce back in the second half.

It was down to the last minute of the match and Bengal Warriors’ skipper Maninder Singh saved the day for his team. Trailing by 23-25, he scored two massive points in the penultimate raid and tied the match for Bengal Warriors.

1. Bengaluru Bulls 48-45 UP Yoddha

Pawan Sehrawat scored 20 raid points to lead Bengaluru Bulls to a thrilling 48-45 win over U.P. Yoddha

U.P. Yoddha had a comfortable 11-point lead in the first half as they looked in total control. Pawan Sehrawat, however, had other plans scoring 20 points in that crucial match.

His two super raids in the first half cut down the deficit by four points. Another twist in the tale came during the buzzer raid when Surender Gill scored a vital point for the Yoddhas and took the game to extra time.

It was a Pawan Sehrawat show at the extra time as the Hi-Flyer guided them to their successive semi-final.
