Patna Pirates vs Puneri Paltan: All time Head-to-Head record in Pro Kabaddi

The eleventh edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) is up and running. Three-time champions Patna Pirates have 63 points after 18 matches. They won eight games and lost six, with one game ending in a stalemate. With a massive score difference of +90, they are favourites to clinch a top-two spot after the Haryana Steelers

On the other hand, Puneri Paltan have earned 54 points in 19 matches. They would need at least two more wins to have a realistic chance of qualifying. The defending champions have played out eight wins, eight losses and three ties. Under new coach Ashok Shinde, they got a much-needed win in their previous match to revive their campaign, handing the Bengaluru Bulls a 56-18 demolition.

Puneri emerged victorious by a big margin of 40-24 when the two sides faced off against each other earlier in the season.

Both teams come up against each other thrice last season, including a semi-final clash. Puneri Paltan secured the bragging rights by clinching a statement win over the Pirates in the first clash. The return leg witnessed both sides go toe-to-toe against each other and put up an entertaining 32-32 draw in Pro Kabaddi League.

And in their third meeting, Puneri Paltan knocked the Pirates out of the competition and secured their place in the final before lifting the elusive trophy. Puneri Paltan have enjoyed recent success over the Patna-based side, but the Pirates have a big lead in terms of wins. 

Patna Pirates went on an unbeaten run of 10 games against Puneri Paltan before losing their first-ever game in 2017. The last time Puneri Paltan lost a game against the Pirates was back in December 2021 and are on an unbeaten run ever since with three wins and two draws.
