Puneri Paltan vs UP Yoddhas: All time Head-to-Head record in Pro Kabaddi
Puneri Paltan are coming into this match after being winless in three Pro Kabaddi matches.
Puneri Paltan are going through the most difficult phase in the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 (PKL 11) as they have been winless in the last three matches.
The defending champions lost their captain and previous season’s most valuable player (MVP), Aslam Inamdar, to an injury during the match against the Telugu Titans in the final match of the Hyderabad leg of PKL 11. Paltan lost that match by a point and their captain was ruled out for the season due to the injury sustained.
The BC Ramesh-coached side then shared points with a Naveen Kumar-less Dabang Delhi before losing narrowly again, this time to the Jaipur Pink Panthers. The team needs to regroup and find their form back ahead of their Pro Kabaddi League 2024 match against UP Yoddhas. If there is any team that would lose Aslam Inamdar and still be competitive, it is the Puneri Paltan. The season 10 champions have enough mettle in their squad to deal with the situation.

The likes of Pankaj Mohite, Mohit Goyat, and Akash Shinde still provide enough quality raiding options and the likes of Gaurav Khatri, Aman, and Abinesh Nadarajan are some of the best defenders in the Pro Kabaddi League 2024. A win against the struggling Yoddhas would reinstil the lost belief back into the team and help them stay in the hunt for a place in the knockout stages of the tournament.
As for the UP Yoddhas, they have finally won a match again after losing narrowly four consecutive matches in the Pro Kabaddi League 2024. The team has looked wanting in the coaching department as Jasveer Singh has made some decisions that have been very questionable during the run of four losses. However, the return to form of Bhavani Rajput, after being given the opportunity against Telugu Titans, and an unfortunate injury to Pawan Sehrawat meant UP Yoddhas stole the win from the jaws of the defeat in their latest PKL 11 match.
The team switched back to the tried and tested partnership of Bhavani Rajput and Bharat Hooda after trying a few options in the raiding department, such as Gagan Gowda, Shivam Chaudhary, and Keshav Kumar. The poor form of captain Surender Gill has sidelined him from the action for a long time now. The Yoddhas now play with just two raiders starting for them and five defenders in Pro Kabaddi League 2024.
A lot of permutations and combinations have been done in the defending side as well with the likes of Sahul Kumar, Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi, Ashu Singh, Vivek Kumar, and Mahender Singh being tried. The duo of Hitesh and Sumit have been the only two consistent defenders for the GMR-owned franchise in the season so far.
