When will Women's Kabaddi World Cup 2025 start? All you need to know

This is the second edition of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup.
The Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 is scheduled to take place from 17th to 24th November in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This will mark the first-ever Kabaddi World Cup to be hosted outside India.
The International Kabaddi Federation had originally announced that the tournament would be held in Rajgir, Bihar, from June 1 to June 10.
However, the state later withdrew from its hosting responsibilities, leading to the event being rescheduled to Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Stadium from August 3 to 10. The venue was then relocated once again, this time outside India, to Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The 2nd Women’s Kabaddi World Cup will feature 12 teams from different continents. IKF has officially announced the list of all participating nations for the tournament.
List of participating countries-

12 teams from 4 continents will participate in the second Women’s World Cup. The defending champions India, the silver medalists of the last World Cup, Iran, along with the host nation Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Nepal, and Thailand are the 6 teams from Asia participating in the World Cup.
Kenya, Uganda, and Zanzibar are the African nations participating. Argentina is the only South American country to qualify, while Poland and Germany are the only European countries to participate in the World Cup.
These are the 12 teams competing for the coveted World Cup trophy, which is being held after 13 years.
Previous Edition
A total of 16 teams participated in the first Women’s World Cup, which was held in 2012 in Patna, Bihar. A historic event that marked the beginning of international women’s Kabaddi on such a large scale. The tournament featured 31 exciting matches filled with intense competition, skill, and passion.
Japan and Thailand, who displayed great determination and fighting spirit, finished jointly in third place after losing their respective semifinal matches. The event not only celebrated India’s rich Kabaddi heritage but also played a key role in promoting this sport globally.
The Indian Women’s Team showcased their dominance throughout the tournament and emerged victorious in the final, defeating Iran 25–19 to lift the inaugural Women’s World Cup trophy.
