Season seven champions, Bengal Warriorz have been headlined more often during the pre-season. With the appointment of new coach Prashant Surve and in the auction, they hired two of the most experienced defenders Fazel Atrachali and Nitesh Kumar. Also, they spent big bucks on young Arjun Rathi who came from the Yuva Kabaddi series.

But nothing has translated onto the mat, as they are having a season to forget. The defenders have done well in parts, but they have failed to exert pressure throughout the game.
