The Pro Kabaddi League has entered its second decade with Hyderabad playing hosts to the first leg of PKL 11. The opening day saw two great contests and with continuous action in store, Kabaddi fans will have a treat to enjoy for the next few weeks.

The second day of Pro Kabaddi League season 11 will start with Telugu Titans taking on Tamil Thalaivas. Both southern teams failed to qualify for the playoffs last season with Telugu Titans finishing at the bottom of the points table for the third consecutive season. But the decade-long team is rejuvenated with a new coach and a strong squad for the upcoming season.

It was evident in the first game as they notched up an impressive win in the opening match of the season. Their skipper Pawan Sehrawat contributed with a super 10 while their big purchase of Krishan Dhull paid dividends with a High-5. One of the findings of Coach Krishna Kumar Hooda, Vijay Malik played the perfect fiddle to win the game.

They will be eager for the Saturday encounter. Their opponents Tamil Thalaivas will be up for the battle having retained their core for Pro Kabaddi League 11 and also acquired the services of Sachin Tanwar, who is one of the most consistent raiders in the history of the league. Sachin will be joined by his former teammate Chandran Ranjit, who is from Tamil Nadu.

The head-to-head numbers tell a story in itself. It was the Titans who had the upper hand in the initial years. In fact, Tamil Thalaivas’ first-ever Pro Kabaddi match was against Telugu Titans. Titans would want to bring back their old self against Thalaivas much like their performance in season five when they registered a 21-point win. Nevertheless, it will be a fascinating contest in Pro Kabaddi League 11 with both teams eager to go back with five points.
