Rohit Kumar is a reputable name in the Pro Kabaddi League and is an established raider. He is known to possess a composed personality on the mat and has performed incredibly well in the league. The esteemed raider helped the Bengaluru Bulls to their only PKL title in the sixth season under his captaincy. He led by example and delivered a great individual performance during that season as well.
He was the second-highest point-getter in the fifth season and carried that form into the next. Since his debut back in the third edition, Rohit Kumar has scored at least 100 points in every season. 5. Kabaddi in his genes
Rohit Kumar carried on his family's legacy as his father was also a kabaddi player. He was the inspiration behind his success. Apart from that, he also worked in the Delhi Police. Kumar’s father was a major factor, who also supported him in his kabaddi career. Kumar was also inspired by players like Manjit Chillar, Mohit Chillar and Rakesh Kumar, who emerged from the same background as him.
Rohit Kumar achieved success from his school days and joined the Indian Navy from the sports quota in 2009.
4. Helped Patna Pirates to title in debut season
Rohit Kumar was selected in the inaugural edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. However, the Services Sports Control Board did not release him and he could not take part in the competition. He could not participate in the PKL for two consecutive seasons. He eventually joined the competition in the third season after the Patna Pirates bought him at the auction.
In his first season, Kumar was exceptional for the Pirates, scoring 109 points in 12 matches. He lent good support to Pardeep Narwal during that campaign and won the "Most Valuable Player" award. Rohit Kumar’s contribution was immense in the Patna Pirates going all the way to win the league.
3. Impact at Bengaluru Bulls
Despite performing fantastically for the Pirates, Kumar was released and subsequently signed for the Bengaluru Bulls ahead of the fourth season. He scored 100 points in 14 matches that year. Kumar followed it up with an even better performance in the fifth season by scoring 231 points in 22 games, becoming the second-highest scorer in the league.
During a match against UP Yoddha, he scored over 32 points by himself and set a record by becoming the first man to 30 or more points in a single PKL match. The sixth season saw the franchise retain the player and he was also made the captain. This decision proved to be a smart one, as Rohit Kumar led by example and guided the team to the PKL title. The Bulls defeated Gujarat Giants in the last match and Kumar scored 171 points across 24 matches that term. Pawan Sehrawat was the chief raider for the outfit and got decent support from the captain.
2. Stats in Pro Kabaddi League
Rohit Kumar became one of the top five raiders in the PKL within four seasons. He is also fourth in the list of players to score the most number of Super 10s. He has collected over 670 raid points in the PKL and has attained a lot of success thanks to his signature move the "Frog Jump."

Rohit Kumar will represent Telugu Titans from the Pro Kabaddi League Season 8, after playing for Bengaluru Bulls for four consecutive seasons. The franchise released him just before the recently-concluded auction and the Titans bought his services after paying ₹36 lakhs. He could be a captaincy candidate for the outfit in the forthcoming season thanks to his experience.
