UP Yoddhas have a one-win lead over U Mumba in the Pro Kabaddi League.

UP Yoddhas will play against U Mumba in Match 45 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 (PKL 11). The Yoddhas come into the match on the back of four losses in their last five matches, all down to poor game management. They currently sit ninth on the league table with three wins and four losses from seven matches, totalling 19 points.

The incredible start of PKL 11 for the GMR-owned franchise was down to the incredible depth the team had in the raiding department. However, players like Surinder Gill and Bhavani Rajpoot have not been able to replicate their earlier form and Bharat Hooda has struggled for consistency in Pro Kabaddi League.

The emergence of Hitesh and the superb form of Sumit have assured that the UP Yoddhas keep getting at least a point from each Pro Kabaddi League match they have lost. The team would bounce back as soon as the raiding department starts contributing as much as the defence does. The team looks too dependent on certain individuals and coach Jasveer Singh has to make sure they perform well collectively.

U Mumba, on the other hand, have been one of the most consistent teams in the Pro Kabaddi League 11 with four wins, one draw and two losses from their seven matches. They have 24 points so far and sit on the second spot on the league table.

The troika of Manjeet, Amirmohammad Zafardanesh and Ajit Chavan have complemented each other well with one of the three performing every Pro Kabaddi League match the other two couldn’t. Ajit Chavan comes into the match on the back of a 19-point stunning performance against Patna Pirates. Zafardanesh has two Super 10s as well whereas Manjeet has done well as the second and the third raider of the team when called upon.

U Mumba’s defence is the fourth-best in the Pro Kabaddi League, statistically speaking. Sombir Goswami, Rinku Sharma and, of course, the veteran duo of Parvesh Bhainswal and Sunil Kumar have combined well to form a formidable tackling force. While Sunil is the on-the-pitch coach and strategist, Rinku and Sombir are the more aggressive duo.
