Asian Surfing Championships 2025 will be the final qualification event for the Asian Games 2026.
The upcoming edition of the ASF Asian Surfing Championships is slated to take place from August 4 to 12 at the Sea Breeze Beach Resort in Mahabalipuram.
100+ surfers from 20 nations will compete in the nine-day competition. The participating nations include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the UAE, and Uzbekistan.
Team India will field a 12-member contingent for the 2025 edition of the ASF Asian Surfing Championships. The team includes eight surfers from Tamil Nadu, two from Karnataka, and one each from Kerala and Goa. Samai Reboul has been named as the head coach of the Indian side, while Sanjay S will serve as the assistant coach for the hosts.
