The winter transfer window has started with a bang with Liverpool finally bringing their long-term target Virgil van Dijk to Anfield for a record deal of £75m followed by Barcelona’s record signing of Brazilian star midfielder Philippe Coutinho for a staggering £142m.

Let's take a look at some of the transfer rumours from around the world which are likely to happen by the end of this month.

English Premier League- Manchester United to edge past rivals Manchester City in Sanchez saga, Arsenal and Liverpool chasing French youngster.

Manchester City is finally out of Sanchez saga as the Chilean international is very close to joining Manchester United.According to Sky Sports, United are rumoured to be offering a 4 and a half year deal with the striker getting a hefty £450,000 a week.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be a gunner before this transfer window ends. The Armenian international has not lived up to his standards in United's colours and was absent from the squad for a brief period in this season so far. Rumours suggest that Mkhitaryan could be a part of swap deal offered to bring Sanchez at Old Trafford.(source- NewsNow)

Arsenal and Liverpool are chasing AS Monaco’s young striker Thomas Lemar. With Liverpool already Coutinho and Arsenal are about to lose Alexis Sanchez, the battle for French youngster is understandable.With market already heated due to big money signings of Virgil Van Dijk and Coutinho, Monaco now is demanding more than £90 million for the French striker, says Mirror UK.

Transfer windows have never been a cakewalk for the Gunners. Their long-term target Jonny Evans is also heavily linked with Manchester City who is in desperate need of signing a quality defender to cover their injured captain Kompany.Arsenal is rumoured to be offering a swap deal with exchanging Mathieu Debuchy for the Irish defender, stated The Guardian.While City who has already spent a lot before the beginning of this season is ready to satisfy the demands of Baggies by paying £25 million to land the Irish defender at Etihad, reported BBC sports.

Liverpool's longtime pursuit of RB Leipzig's midfielder Naby Keita is likely to end this month. The German side is ready to let go the Guinean midfielder if Liverpool pays a premium between £13 million and £17.5 million. Leipzig is not willingly letting the midfielder leave but the clubs sudden need of raising funds to comply with UEFA's financial fair play rules is the major reason for which the deal might happen very soon.(source- Bleacher Report, Ian Doyle)

With Sanchez likely to leave Emirates in few days, Arsenal's search for a quality attacker has led them to Bordeaux's Malcom. The Brazilian attacker has caught many eyes after his impressive performance in this season. Arsenal is ready to pay £35 million for the attacker but the French side is reportedly demanding £10 million more.(source- ESPN)

The arrival of Philippe Coutinho at Camp Nou has ruffled few feathers in Madrid camp. According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio,  Madrid is trying to approach Liverpool’s star Mohamed Salah and are hopeful of convincing the 25-year-old Egyptian for seeking a move to Bernabeu either in January or in Summer transfer Window.

Along with Salah, Los Blancos are also trying to lure their long-time target, Eden Hazard. According to French publication Radio Montecarlo,Madrid has approached Hazard’s representatives to talk about a possible deal. The Chelsea attacker has always been vocal about his support and desire to play for Madrid. Thus a single opening and the deal has a high possibility of actually happening.

Real Madrid sinking rapidly in the league has sparked many speculations. The Five times Ballon d'Or Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his desire to return to Old Trafford. Problems for Real Madrid seems to be getting deeper and deeper as the star striker Gareth Bale has expressed his desires to join Manchester United. The striker has been on United's radar for a while now and the deal could happen before the end of this transfer window.

Serie A- Inter Milan linked with Andre Schurrle, Napoli chasing Barcelona’s Denis Suarez.Dortmund’s winger Andre Schurrle is linked with a move to Inter Milan says Sky Italia.The former Chelsea winger was earlier a prime target of Tottenham and West Ham but the Italian side is now believed to be leading the race. The German winger is not a having a good time at Signal Iduna Park as he has started only one game for BVB so far this season.

Juventus trying hard to bring Emre Can at Turin. The German midfielder runs out his Liverpool's contract in 6 months and the Italian side has been rumoured of trying every possible way to bring him at Juventus.(source-Sky Sports)

Napoli is rumoured to be chasing Spanish youngster Denis Suarez. With the signing of Philippe Coutinho, the Spaniard will be getting limited minutes to play which fuels this rumour more and more. However, Barcelona has stated that the midfielder is a crucial part of Valverde’s future plans and is not for sale. It will be interesting to see what youngster chooses, regular game time or to continue playing for a coveted club like Barcelona.

Lucas Moura could be on his way to Old Trafford before this transfer window ends. The attacker's career has become stagnant after PSG's big money signing of  Neymar and Mbappe. The Brazilian could cost Manchester United a  £35 million.(source-The Sun)

St-Etienne is interested in signing Mathieu Debuchy who will be out of contract at the end of the season. The French side will have to battle out with West Bromwich who are also showing interest in the defender.

Marseille is the latest team to show interest in Arsenal's Jack Wilshere. the French side is rumoured to be working on a possible loan deal with a view to making it permanent in the summer. Bundesliga- Aubameyang likely to leave Dortmund, Goretzka to stay with Schalke for 6 more months.

Aubameyang could be on his way out of Signal Iduna Park within few days. The Guinean international was not a part of Dortmund's squad for yesterday's match which fueled this rumour more.
