1-4                           33' Dangda        Chettri 27'47' Thapa 68' Jeje 81'

Well, that was an inspired second-half display from the Blue Tigers. Stephen Constantine's pep talk worked absolute wonders! Chhetri's quick goal two minutes in the second half allowed India to get a grip of the game and they didn't let go afterwards. The Blue Tigers put the War Elephants to the sword and scored two more goals through Chennaiyin FC stars Anirudh Thapa and Jeje Lalpekhlua. Some high-up pressing, impressive defending and terrific control allowed the Blue Tigers to play stunning attacking football to dazzle the fans. This is India's biggest ever win in the AFC Asian Cup and the most monumental occasion in recent memory. Stephen Constantine's men move into the top of the table with the win and face UAE next on 10th January. It'll be a match which could determine India's chances of making in into the Round of 16 and considering this performance, the Blue Tigers head into that difficult game full in confidence. This is Uttiyo Sarkar signing off for Khel Now. Thank you and goodnight, Ladies and Gentlemen!

90+3' India play around with the ball before the final whistle is blown. What an incredible result for the Blue Tigers!!

90+2' The Thailand fans seem to be in a good mood despite this unexpected thrashing. On the other hand, the Indian fans are having the time of their lives in the stands, as they should.

90+1' Three minutes of added time is annonced. It's just a formality at this moment.

90' Nice defending from Sandesh Jhingan. The War Elephants aim to get one back and churn up a nice string of passes in the final third. However, Jhingan does well to stop it and clear it away.

87' India make their final substitution. Germanpreet Singh comes on for Pronoy Halder

86' Close call! Bunmathan plays a nice one-two and goes soaring through the left-wing before sending in a cross, which almost deflects by Anas into the net. However, captain Gurpreet holds onto it confidently.

83' Now Rowllin has a go now! After some impressive passing in midfield, Chhetri lays it to the NorthEast United midfielder whose long-shot sails over. Why not try at this point?

81' GOALLL! JEJE MAKES AN INSTANT IMPACT! 4-1! After Udanta's cross wasn't cleared well, it fell to Narzary who passed it to Jeje. The Mizo Sniper was free and toe-poked it into the net to score his first goal in 10 months! What an inspired sub!

79' Pansa Hemviboon gets booked for a cynical challenge bringing down Narzary.

78' India make a double substitution. Jeje Lalpekhlua comes on for Ashique Kuruniyan, who was brilliant today. Meanwhile, Rowllin Borges is brought on for goal-scorer Anirudh Thapa to tighten things up defensively. Thailand also make a sub, with Sumanya Purisay coming on for Adisak Kraisorn.

75' BRILLIANT DEFENDING FROM ANAS! Thailand move forward with vigor and a terrific ball is played to Dangda, who turns well and tries a shot that is blocked by Anas for a corner.

73'  Chanathip Songkrasin is taken off! He is replaced with Siroch Chatthong as Thailand try something different.

71' India have sparked a turnaround in the 2nd half to be proud of. The boys are enjoying the game and have rattled the War Elephants with their positive movement. Chhetri tries another cheeky attempt at goal, but his left-foot effort sails over.

68' GOALLL!!! AMAZING FROM THAPA! 3-1! What a brilliant counter-attack that was! It was started and finished off by Thapa. Chhetri played in a defence-splitting through-ball to Udanta who went through on goal. However, he couldn't finish and sought Thapa, who sensationally chipped it over the rushing keeper to score his first international goal!

67' Disaster averted! Udanta makes a horrible mistake in playing a bad backpass which sends Chaided through on the left-hand side of the box. However, the winger attempts a weird shot which is well wide of the target.

65' India receive a free-kick from a distance out, which is taken surprisingly well by Subhashish Bose. The Mumbai City defender curls in the ball, which is punched away by Bootprom who earns a free-kick after being fouled.

63' WOW! An embarrassing scuff from Bootprom almost allows Chhetri to score his third. Udanta is again set free on the right and sends in a low ball, which was in Bootprom's path but the keeper scuffed the ball. Bunmathan did well to recover and send the ball out for a corner.

61' Impressive corner from young Thapa. Narzary's trickery in the left awards India a corner, which is taken brilliantly by Anirudh who finds the keeper directly with his attempt.

58' Chhetri has tasted blood and is vying for that third goal like a Royal Bengal Tiger. He shows more confidence in taking an ambitious shot from around 30 yards out, which sails over. Thailand makes a substitution, with Samrawat Dechmitr going off for Korrakot Wiriya-Udomsiri.

56' India peg on ahead through the left and Narzary is brought down in the left-wing. Chhetri takes the corresponding free-kick, which is pretty good and has to be handled well by Bootprom. The Blue Tigers are pressing really high-up and causing problems for the Thai goalie and defenders.

54' CLOSE! Anirudh Thapa's corner is headed just over the bar by Sunil Chhetri. He seems hungry for that hattrick! Meanwhile the Blue Pilgrims are making themselves felt with their loud chants spurring India on.

52' The Blue Tigers have the War Elephants reeling at the moment. They earn a corner which is taken short to Narzary, who turns well but his right-footed shot sails over the net.

50' And just like that, Chhetri becomes the top scorer of the AFC Asian Cup 2019 with his brace. That's his 67th International goal. The Blue Tigers seem pumped and after defending a set-piece well, surge ahead in numbers. Narzary goes free on goal but can't reach the ball in time, but Thapa tests Chatchai Bootprom with a shot from outside the box.

47' GOALLL!! CHHETRI SCORES AGAIN! A stunning move is sparked through the right with Udanta Singh allowed to surge away on the wing. He sends in a clever low cross which goes past Ashique, but Chhetri comes in to powerfully thump it into the net. What a start to the 2nd half! 2-1!

46' THE SECOND HALF IS UNDERWAY! Thailand will be moving from right to left this time and look to create chances from the get-go.

8:00 PM- The teams are coming back into the ground. Second-half coverage is minutes away!

HALF-TIME ANALYSIS: While Thailand have dominated possession, India have been fearless with their game. Ashique Kuruniyan's been a revelation in his newfound role, creating many chances, including the penalty for India which allowed Sunil Chhetri to score his 66th International goal. However, Thailand's crisp passing and dangerous crossing has created all sorts of problems for India. It was Bunmathan's stunning free-kick which resulted in the equalizer, Dangda's 43rd for his country. The Blue Tigers need to be more clever in possession and not give much space to the wingers or concede set-pieces. We'll be back with the 2nd half's coverage in a few minutes! Stay tuned Ladies and Gentlemen!

45+1' Only one added minute of extra time is given. Thailand play around with the ball in India's half, as Chanathip hilariously bumps into the referee. The half-time whistle is blown!

44' Decent move from Thailand. Bunmathan comes forward and passed it to Dangda, who plays it forward to Supachai. However, the wingers' ambitious shot goes way over.

42' OOF! India threatens through their lofted pass once again as a long-ball is chested in by Ashique to Chhetri, whose powerful shot blasts into the stands.

41' A brilliant counter-attack was sparked by Udanta Singh, who played a clever one-two with Chhetri before the Bengaluru FC striker passed it to Narzary in the final third. However, the Kerala Blasters midfielder failed to send in the killer pass and wasted the chance.

39' Sanrawat Dechmitr gets the first yellow card of the game after a cynical foul on Thapa.

37' CLOSE! Narzary sends in a curling ball into the box which is chested into Sunil Chhetri by Ashique. He tries to go past the defender, but scuffs his shot which goes away for a corner. Chhetri should've done better!

33' THAILAND EQUALIZE! A brilliant free-kick from Bunmathan floats over the Indian defence and is flicked in by the Thailand captain Teerasil Dangda. 1-1!

31' Thailand aim to get an instant response and Supachai Chaided dribbles past multiple Indian midfielders before shooting for goal, only to see his shot blaze into the stands.

29' This is a huge moment for Stephen Constantine's side. India are looking refueled with confidence and looked to get a quick second, which allowed Chanathip to spark a counter-attack. However, Pronoy did well to win the ball off him smartly. The crowd is pumped after that!

27' CHHETRI SCORES FOR INDIA! 1-0! He takes a penalty akin to Paul Pogba and drives the ball into the net. It's his 66th goal for India and a precious lead for the Blue Tigers.

26' PENALTY FOR INDIA! Ashique moves through on goal after a quick throw in and after his shot is saved by the Thailand keeper, Bunmathan handles the ball to concede a penalty.

24' Thailand have new-found confidence and are now attacking in full force. A decent move through the right allows Do to send in a brilliant cross, which is superbly headed away by Sandesh Jhingan. Chanathip later finds space and sends Teerasil Dangda through on goal, but Anas Edathodika does well to peg back and make a crucial tackle.

21' BRILLIANT FROM GURPREET! After Sandesh Jhingan conceded a free-kick, Do does a brilliant job in sending in a venemous free-kick. Gurpreet puts his body on the line to thwart the War Elephants and sends it away for a corner.

18' It's been an even game so far. Thailand have enjoyed 54% possession, while India have had 46% of it. Thailand's lacklustre approach so far is summed up by an overhit cross by full-back Theerathon Bunmathan.

15' A close call for Thailand! Thapa's cross was brilliantly curled into the box and cleared pretty well by Thailand. However, the rebound found Udanta Singh, who sent in a promising cross which nobody could latch onto.

14' India seem to have targetted Tristan Do and plotting their attacks through the left wing. Sunil Chhetri earns an impressive free-kick on that flank after being brought down.

11' OOF! Thailand create their first chance. The ball is played through to the right-wing and Adisak Kraisorn lays off a ball to Thitipan Puangjan, whose blistering attempt blazes over Gurpreet's goal.

9' The Blue Tigers have gone toe-to-toe with the War Elephants so far. Chanthip is being marked closely by Halder and Thapa, while the defenders are flinging long balls forward to trouble the short Thailand defenders.

6' Chanathip Songkrasin shows one for the highlight reel when his 360-degree turn forces a crunching tackle from Pronoy Halder, whose lucky not to get booked early on.

3' Ashique's making his presence felt! He showed impressive physicality and speed by racing ahead and sending in two impressive crosses into the box in the space of a minute, but nobody was there to pounce on them.

2' Thailand enjoy some of the early possession. Ashique Kuruniyan seems to be playing through the center behind Sunil Chhetri, while Halicharan Narzary is playing on the left-wing.

1' AND WE KICKOFF! India get things starting, attacking from the right to left.

6:58 PM- There was a huge roar which followed after the Indian national anthem. The Blue Pilgrims, who have travelled in packs, are already making their voices felt. The toss is taking place and kickoff is now moments away!

6:56 PM- The teams are coming out of the tunnel! India are sporting their stylish white away jersey, while the War Elephants are the ones wearing blue on the day. The national anthems will take place now, followed by kickoff in a few minutes!

6:55 PM- The Blue Tigers will need to be wary of Thailand's attacking threat. Chanathip Songkrasin, Teerasil Dangda and Adisek Kraisorn's trio in the final third can be lethal for any side to defend. Sandesh Jhingan and co will have to be alert in containing their threat, especially Songkrasin, who pulls the strings in attack.

6:50 PM- India have faced Thailand 23 times in the past. The Blue Tigers have won five matches while losing 11 of them. The last time these two sides faced was back in Sept 2010, when the War Elephants defeated India 2-1. India last defeated Thailand over 30 years back in 1986, when Krishanu Dey's hattrick allowed the Blue Tigers to route them 3-1 in the Merdeka tournament. Stephen Constantine will be hoping for some of the same tonight.

6:45 PM- Stephen Constantine seems in confident mood in the pre-match interview. He says his team has 4-5 captains and he hopes Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, who is India's youngest captain in the competition, will lead them to three points. He also reiterates that India hasn't come to lose and will give all they have.

6:40 PM- A few interesting decisions made by Stephen Constantine. India are set up to play a 4-5-1 formation, which could even revert to 3-4-3 knowing Subhashish Bose's prowess at centre-back. Sunil Chhetri's not been given the captain's armband despite his stature in the side. Custodian striker Jeje Lalpekhlua's on the bench following his poor form in the ISL. Thailand are playing a more attacking 4-2-3-1 formation and will aim to attack through the wings.

6:35 PM- Here are the starting lineups for India's AFC Asian Cup 2019 opener!

India XI: Gurpreet(C), Kotal, Anas, Jhingan, Bose, Halder, Thapa, Narzary, Kuruniyan, Udanta, Chhetri.
