The Shivajians boss also spoke highly of his opponents...

DSK Shivajians square off against Mohun Bagan, in what might be their biggest test of the season so far. The away team have won four games in a row and find themselves on top of the table coming into the fifth round of action.

Speaking to the press before the game, DSK Shivajians boss Dave Rogers was certainly looking forward to facing the Kolkata side. "Looking forward to it. It's another big test and the boys are excited," said Rogers.

Rogers was also quick to reiterate the size and form of their opponents, who are on top of the table. "They're top of the league at the minute and they're there on merit. Another big club, another traditional club. They've had the best start to the season. We are looking forward to it."

The 41-year old continued, "They've got good players, no doubt. But we've got good players too. Good defenders (to stop their attack)."

DSK Shivajians have somewhat turned a corner after defeats in the first two games, earning four points from the next two. "We're a club at the learning phase, so we've never been in a comfort zone. My team and staff are working hard everyday. None of my players are in a comfort zone. We haven't been outplayed by anyone this season. With a bit more luck, we could've gotten more points too," opined the Englishman.

The former League of Ireland winner also felt that the I-League is a unique competition. He said, "Anybody can beat anybody in this league that's what makes it so special. Sanjoy's an excellent coach, with good experience, and he has a good bunch of players. But any team that can get a couple of reuslts together can climb up the table."

Continuing, he said, "The players have had a great training session today. I can never blame their effort. Our team has a cohesion now and day by day we're getting better."

Subrata Paul has been missing from action through injury since the start of the season and it remains anyone's guess whether he will be included in the side tomorrow. Speaking of injuries to his side, the gaffer said, "One or two niggles in the side, but nothing major. We'll see (who's fit) after a word with the physio."

Young Indian midfielder Milan Singh, who joined his manager in the press conference, finished it off, stating, "Even in the last game, we dominated the game but we conceded the late goal which was disappointing. But we are ready to play a big game like this. We can start climbing the table."
