Best club football kits in 2019-20 European season

We are deep in the transfer window right now and it's time to look at the new colours of our favourite clubs!

While the clubs are busy haggling players and trying to get their squads ready for the 2019/20 season, the kit sponsors were also working behind the scenes to revamp the Europeans clubs.

Let's have a look at a few of the newly released eye-candy kits of the clubs from Europe's top 5 leagues:

Arsenal

Bang came in the North London giants with their new sponsors Adidas with a £300 million contract replacing Puma.

Releasing their retro kits with a dope kit launch video, the Gunners have outdone themselves. The home jersey blends the traditional red body and white sleeves of Arsenal with navy trim on the collar and sleeve cuffs. Modern yet vintage.

The German kit sponsors have made a comeback at Arsenal after 25 years.

Juventus

The Italian side's club home kit for the upcoming season represents "a choice, a promise, a call to action" according to the team's official online store.

Conceptualized by Adidas, the new jersey is distinguished by an all-new half-and-half striped design, streaked by a contrast pink detail in the middle as a nod to the first-ever colour the club played in.

Real Madrid

The Blancos have adopted the classic tested white with the stripes in gold rather than black. Real Madrid last wore the gold stripes in the 2011-12 season.

Adidas released this kit in quite early at the start of May. Interestingly, Gareth Bale whose future in Madrid is rocky starred prominently in the promotional photos.

FC Barcelona

Bold and revolutionary. Those are words which I would use to describe Barca's 2019/20 home kit. The trademark stripes are pleasantly replaced by checkers with a striking resemblance to that of the Croatian jersey.

The kit sponsors, Nike explained that the checkers concept in the home kit was inspiration from the grid layout of the L'Eixample area of Barcelona.

 

Inter Milan

Internazionale had our jaws dropped with stripes on their new home kit. Not just any stripes, diagonal stripes! The design is inspired by the '89-'90 away kit of the team and draws lines (literally) from the diagonal stripes in the jerseys of '78 and '88.

Released with the women team, Nike has the diagonal striping restricted to only the centre of the shirt around the sponsor.

AC Milan

Puma released their new home kit at the last Serie A match of the team. The German sponsors in the second season with the Italians had revamped their jersey entirely with the red and black stripes.

Classy and elegant, the design is a reminder to the club's early days. The stripes completely adorn the jersey, including the back and sleeves, alongside the front.

Fiorentina

Fiorentina have released their away jerseys. Yes, jerseys. They released 4 away jerseys, again! Le Coq Sportif released the 4 jerseys with respect to the 4 historic neighbourhoods of Fiorentina.

The away colours are the blues of Santa Croce, the greens of San Giovanni, the reds of Santa Maria Novella and whites of the Holy Spirit. The home kit is yet to be released but is expected to follow the lines of the traditional violet.

AFC Ajax

The Dutch club released their home kit with Adidas a day after their exit from UCL. The kit has subtly incorporated black along with the traditional white and red.

The black was added to honour the flag of Amsterdam and interestingly, the logo was also entirely sketched in black.

Chelsea

Chelsea pays homage to their home, Stamford Bridge with their Nike kit of "rush blue". To be specific, the design merges the imagery of the North Stand, the East and West Stands and the Shed End into a unique print.

The inside of the neck has lion with "Pride of London" written around it. A red panel on the rear of the neck completes the look of the Londoners.

Manchester United

The home kit is heavily inspired by the season of 1999 Treble. The shirt is dominated with red all over and is trimmed with black in the neck and a black Adidas Performance logo adorns the right chest.

A fact for the fans to drool over would be the  '99 final's reminder on the sleeves, where the time of the braces against Bayern Munich are embossed inside tiny black boxes - 90+1' and 90+3'.

Galatasaray

A definite contender in the list, but would've have to settle for special mention since it doesn't run shoulders amongst the top 5 leagues. The jersey is retro-inspired, halved with red and yellow. The Nike jersey is subtly striped within these halves.
