New Blues coach coach Maurizio Sarri has not found the right balance yet and needs to sort it out before the Premier League starts.

The English footballing season kicked-off on Sunday with the first official match of the campaign being played between Manchester City and Chelsea as they competed for the Community Shield. The team from Manchester came out on top with two goals from their Argentinian striker, Sergio Aguero.

Watch: Community Shield highlights

We at Khel Now have put together five takeaways from the game.

5. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Phil Foden could be England's future

The two teenage tyros who were on opposing sides in the match stood out for their teams. Foden’s driving run into the heart of the Chelsea defence set up Aguero’s first goal and Hudson-Odoi looked dangerous all game long.

At 17 and 18 respectively, the two youngsters may face a struggle to get into the first-teams, but signs are promising for the future.

4. Manchester City look far more prepared for the start of the season

Despite having the most players in the English side at the 2018 World Cup, City were able to field a very strong starting line-up against Chelsea, which is a testament to the depth of the squad that Pep Guardiola has built.

Riyad Mahrez, Foden and Bernado Silva slotted into the spaces in the side left vacant by the rested Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva and did so with aplomb. This squad depth could prove invaluable as a large number of the sides could be severely hampered at the start of the season.

3. David Luiz is not good enough to play in a back four

Throughout the game, the Brazilian centre-back was caught on his heels as the likes of Leroy Sane and Aguero ran through the channels around him.

In a back three, Luiz was able to venture out with the confidence that he would be covered defensively. It remains to be seen how new boss Maurizio Sarri will deal with the 31-year-old in the upcoming season.

2. Alvaro Morata needs to prove that he deserves to stay at the club

Alvaro Morata endured a tumultuous first season in English football, failing to live up to the expectations that surrounded him upon his arrival at Stanford Bridge.

The Spaniard has a massive task on his hands to prove to his new coach that he can effectively lead the line for the Blues and on the basis of this game, he has a long way to go.

1. Sergio Aguero is a Manchester City legend

Aguero was one of City’s first major signings following the influx of money that their club had experienced almost a decade ago.

The Argentinian scored his 200th and 201st goals for the club on Sunday which is a club record, securing himself a place in the history books in what could very well be his final season at the club he has served so well.
