It would be crazy if we can't advance from the group stage- Lionel Messi
The Barcelona forward is optimistic of beating Qatar in the next match and proceeding to quarter-finals.
Lionel Messi's Argentina are yet to win a game in the ongoing Copa America as they stumbled to a 1-1 draw against Paraguay on Wednesday. Argentina are facing a grave situation of exiting from the tournament in the group stage itself, should they fail to beat Qatar in their final game of this stage.
Although even a win might not ensure a quarterfinal berth for Argentina but the players and the coaches are optimistic. Despite the top two teams of the three groups, the best two of the three third-placed teams will also go through and Argentina are betting their chances on that if Paraguay beats Colombia in the final group game.
"I see the team convinced that we will win the next match," Messi told reporters.
He added, "We have to keep looking for the team and improve."
Lionel Scaloni's side majorly struggled in the first-half were a goal behind at the half-time, courtesy of Sanchez's 37th-minute goal. They could only equalise through a penalty which was awarded by VAR for a handball and Lionel Messi did not fail to score in the 63rd minute.
Messi said, "The first few minutes we managed the ball well. After the goal, we messed up a bit. In the second half, we went with everything and we got the draw."

He continued, "Frankly, it's a little frustrating not being able to get the win we need to take the next step. We knew this would be difficult, we're still looking for the best group, for the best performance, to keep growing."

"We know we'll be playing for our lives. It would be crazy if we can't advance from the group stage, when basically three (teams) advance from each group. I have no doubt we'll do it."
Argentina is bottom of the group on one point, behind Colombia (six), Paraguay (two) and Qatar (one).
