Tite addressing the negative reactions from fans from their Copa America opener

The hosts scored three second-half goals to beat Bolivia.

A second-half brace from Philippe Coutinho and a thunderous long-range strike for Everton Soares guided Brazil to a smooth 3-0 win against Bolivia in the Copa America curtain-raiser.

However, the fans at the Sao Paolo stadium very not very happy with the performance of the Selecaos. After a dull first half, the home fans jeered their players for not playing attractive football. The atmosphere at the stadium was also very gloomy as the players along with Brazil head coach, Tite felt the stick from their fans.

When asked about the boos from the fans in the post-match press conference, Tite said, "We felt it! Young lads feel it. The coach feels it."

"Having been at big clubs, when you sometimes don't produce, then don't expect the fans to understand. They will boo."

"When you pass the ball along the back, from full back to central defender to goalkeeper, the first thing you hear is BOOOOOOO!

"We need to understand. If we get forward and create chances then they will applaud."

The Selecaos being the hosts were stated as the favourites to land their ninth Copa America trophy this year. But Neymar's injury against Qatar just before the start of the tournament was a huge blow for Tite's men.

The hosts will now travel to Bahia to face Venezuela on Tuesday before wrapping up the group stage with their game against Peru on Saturday, June 22.

Brazil captain Dani Alves was in positive mood after their first win and is relishing the opportunity to travel to his hometown for the second game.

"This is normal in Sao Paulo, there are a lot of fans of clubs so it's always complicated playing here, but we showed personality," quipped the 36-year old PSG right back on the subdued atmosphere from the crowd.

"There was even a moment when Tite shouted and you could hear it out on the pitch."

"It's different in Bahia. People miss the Brazil team and the energy that we bring. For sure, things will be more animated than here ."

It will be interesting to see how the Selecaos respond to the jeers of their fans after an underwhelming display against Bolivia where they weren't put to test at all. Venezuela can cause some problems for the Selecaos but Tite's men will be hoping to put their best foot forward and get the fans on their side as soon as possible.
