They once again came close to scoring when just a touch from Juhi could have made the difference on the score sheet but Cream’s Linda Calado came to rescue her side with a clearance. A few minutes later, Ekambara’s powerful shot from the edge of the box was nicely collected by Cream’s keeper Norzin Lhamo.
At the other end, Barnali made a superb run dribbling past two defenders to enter the box but Shrutika’s excellent tackle cleared the danger for the Purples. This was the only attempt by the Creams in the first half.
Like in the first session, the Purples started the second half strongly as their midfielder Jo showed some excellent footwork to cut past the opponents but failed in the final third.
In the last few minutes, Creams also created some good chances to score but every time, Purples’ custodian Rhea stood tall to keep a clean sheet for her side. First, she denied Usha in a one-on-one situation and later made a diving effort to save Dhwani’s shot.
However, after so much of action in the match, both the sides failed to capitalise on their chances as the match ended in a goalless draw.
