Paris Saint-Germain are planning to take advantage of the Ivan Rakitic contract saga at Barcelona as they hope to lure him by doubling his wages.

The transfer business in Europe is heating up as we are heading towards the final week of the summer transfer window. The big guns are splashing money to acquire the players’ signatures. With the clock ticking, the speculations over certain transfers are on the rise.

In this article, we at Khel Now will take you through the important transfer news of the day:

Forgotten man Divock Origi on Borussia Dortmund’s radar?

Divock Origi, who performed brilliantly in Liverpool’s UEFA Europa League final run in 2015, is a target for Borussia Dortmund, as sources have told ESPN FC. Since 2015, Origi has failed to shine at Liverpool as well as at Wolfsburg, where he spent the previous season on loan. Another series of lacklustre performances meant that the player wouldn’t be a part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the next season.

Nevertheless, Liverpool have valued the 23-year-old striker at £26 million as Dortmund are hopeful to negotiate for a bargain price.

PSG prepared to splash money on Ivan Rakitic

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to take advantage of the Ivan Rakitic contract saga at Barcelona as they hope to lure him by doubling his wages. The Catalan club failed to improve on Rakitic’s deal that he signed last year leaving him with a buyout clause of £125 million.

Apparently, PSG are unwilling to meet the clause but are still hopeful for the player’s signature. The Parisians are set to offer £90 million for the Croatian midfielder and have already contacted Barca over a possible transfer, according to Sport. This could prove to be one of the biggest deals in this transfer window.

Juventus eyeing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

After acquiring the signatures of some of the best players in the world right now, Juventus have turned their attention towards Sergej Milinkovic-Savic of Lazio. However, as Calciomercato has said, the Bianconeri are determined to sign the Serbian international for next season.

According to the Italian media firm, Lazio have confirmed that the £150 million Manchester United, Juventus and PSG target will leave the club next season.

Toby Alderweireld to stay and Danny Rose to leave?

After a lot of speculation over a possible Toby Alderweireld move to Manchester United, the club has confirmed that the player is set to stay. As per the Evening Standard, Toby was heavily linked with a move away all summer but will remain after he returned to the squad against Fulham at the weekend.

On the other hand, the Coys are listening to offers for their left-back Danny Rose. The 28 year-old English international, has already rejected a loan move to Schalke but PSG are interested in signing the player and manager Mauricio Pochettino is happy to let him leave.

The 32 year-old midfielder, who left Juventus, was offered to Marseille whereas Nice, Sevilla and Sporting CP are also interested in the player.

Manchester City recall Aro Muric from loan

Manchester City have recalled Aro Muric from loan as the defending champions are facing a crisis at the goalkeeper position. Muric who was out on loan at NAC Breda, kept a clean sheet at the weekend during his league debut for the Eredivisie side.

Apart from the 19 year-old, City are now left with another youngster, Daniel Grimshaw as another goalkeeping option for their trip to Wolverhampton later this week.
