Clinton Niasso shone on his debut for Bardez with a hattrick...

Football Club de Bardez trounce Vasco Sports Club 6-0 in the Goa Professional League match played at Duler Stadium earlier today.

Bardez coach Armando Colaco brought in Kirtikesh Gadekar back in the lineup, while Clinton Niasso, Danston Fernandes and Joliston Rebello were the other change in the Bardez playing XI. Vasco coach Eban Misquita made three changes to his side as Somnath Patil, Godfray Mascarenhas and Franky Oliveiro found the place in the Starting XI.

Though Vasco suffered a defeat in the last match, they were high on confidence after putting some brilliant performance against Dempo SC. And like in the first match, Vasco started the match on an impressive note and created many chances in first 30 minutes but a poor finishing restricted them from taking the lead. In few of these, first Franky tried his luck from the edge of the box, only to see it go wide by few inches. A very next minute, the striker once again shot wide from inside the box.

At the half-hour mark, Vasco’s Schubert Perreira was in the commanding position after receiving a short pass from Clive Coelho in the box but the frontman's powerful shot was brilliantly blocked by Bardez keeper Aliston Fernandes.

In the counter-attack, Bardez opened their account when Jessel Carneiro flung high to tap-in to Shubham Dessai’s fine cross from the left. It was just a few seconds after the first goal when their home fans got the chance to celebrate their second as Kirtikesh sparkling shot finished in the net from the top of the box making it 2-0 for the Pink Brigade.

Whereas, Clinton added two more goals in the last few minutes of the first session as he first made an easy tap-in from close off Shubham’s cut-back pass from the box. Three minutes later he scored the stunner from outside the box to make it 4-0 for his at the half-time.

Bardez continued to goal rain as they took just 10 minutes in the second session to score their fifth goal as Clinton completed his hattrick with a fine goal from close off Kirtikesh’s cut-back pass.

Down by a five-goal with just 30 more minutes to go, Vasco tried to organise and came up with a possession football and also marched on opponents on few occasions but Bardez strong last line cleared every danger to keep the clean sheet.

The Pink Brigade added another in the 88th minutes when Inacio Colaco’s powerful shot deflect of Vasco defender and landed in the feet of Shubham who easily shot past Vasco keeper Suresh from 6-yards to make it 6-0.

They had another clear-cut chance to further increase their lead when Vasco’s Godfray brought down Jessel in the box to give away the penalty kick to opponents but Vasco keeper Suresh brilliantly denied Chatur Naik from the spot to limit the damage of his side.
