The Blue Tigers lost five points following their defeats against Curacao, Tajikistan and DPR Korea in the King's Cup & Intercontinental Cup.
According to the latest FIFA rankings, India has slipped two places to the 103rd position in July. The Blue Tigers, who participated in the King's Cup in Thailand as well as Hero Intercontinental Cup earlier this month, could only win one match out of five they played, reflection of which was evident in the rankings as the Blue Tigers currently stand with 1214 points, after losing five coefficient points.
India currently do not have any friendly games scheduled ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Oman in September. A two month gap means Igor Stimac and the Indians will need some time to regain their position on the rankings.
Meanwhile, Belgium (1) continue to lead the ranking chart as the numero uno, followed by Brazil (2), France (3), England (4) and Uruguay (5) in the following positions.

India is currently at the 18th position in the Asian rankings, and will begin their 2022 FIFA World Cup Quafiers campaign against Oman (87) followed by games against Bangladesh (182) and Afghanistan (149).
Hero Intercontinental Cup winners DPR Korea have been the biggest gainers in the continent, who went four positions up to the 118th rank. However, the latest rankings have mostly seen teams losing their foothold as six of the top 10 teams have either lost positions or have not not advanced to a higher ranking. Qatar, who won the AFC Asian Cup earlier this year and also participated at the Copa America in Brazil, have lost seven positions and 21 points in the latest rankings.
