Delhi Dyanmos and Delhi United settle derby with goalless draw
Despite dominating the proceedings the Lions failed to find the back of the net.
Delhi Dynamos held Delhi United to a goalless draw in an I-league Second Division match, played earlier at Ambedkar Stadium. Both of the teams didn’t manage to score any goal by the end of ninety minutes and had to share the spoils.
Delhi Dynamos had four changes to their side as their coach Fran Perez named Shayon Roy (GK), Pradyuman and Aman Bajpai in the starting XI, which were held by Pune City Reserves in the last match. Whereas, Delhi United FC had five changes as their coach gave chances to Rakesh, Rishad, U-22 Nirmal Singh, Kouame Konan and Zacharie in the team of XI which had a draw against Real Kashmir FC in the previous match.
After dominant play in the first few minutes, Delhi Dynamos had the opportunity to surge ahead in the 10th minute when forward Krishan Kumar tried to score from a free-kick, but Delhi United keeper Royal Basumatary collected the ball for his side. Few minutes later, Delhi Dynamos could have taken a lead when Forward u-22 Sudipta Malakar shot from close but the ball rebound off the crossbar with every opponent beaten.
Delhi United threatened to score in the 24th minutes when U-22 Ladji Saika found Sunny Varun Thakur with his low cross but the forward failed to sent target in the box.
Few minutes before to end of first half, Delhi United lost the chance to score from Penalty shot when Captain MD. Shahjahan thumped the ball and sent it outside the box. In the end of first half score was nil each for both of the teams.

Delhi Dynamos were dominating in the second half and had the better of the opening exchanges. Delhi Dynamos were unlucky to score in the early minutes when Sudipta Malakar found forward Seimingmang with his low cross but forward failed to score from the close range.
A few minutes later, Delhi Dynamos could have open the scoring through Aman but the midfielder’s header was collected safely by Delhi United’s keeper Royal. At half hour mark, Delhi United’s striker Koumae Konan tried to score for his side but his header came straight into the hands of Delhi Dynamos’s keeper Shayan Roy.

Delhi Dynamos will be seeing FC Pune City Reserves on 23rd April, whereas, Delhi United FC will be Playing against Real Kashmir on 18th April.
