Match Review:

Good tactical display from the home side. The team defended majestically, not providing any space to the visitors. Breaking on the break at every given opportunity, the hosts will thank the services of Anthony Wolfe, ChesterPoul Lyngdoh and Sohrabuddin Mollick in attack and Adil Khan in the back line,

For Bengaluru, a little complacency or jaded-ness might have crept in after long travels and innumerable matches. The coach needs to work on the mental side of his team and can't keep playing long balls with only Vineeth being a real tall attacker. The team has slumbered to two consecutive defeats and would be looking to make up for the lost time in the next game.

FINAL WHISTLE and a major UPSET! Churchill Brothers have defeated defending champions Bengaluru FC 2-1, riding on goals from Wolfe and Lyngdoh. Sunil Chhetri opened the scoring for the visitors via a penalty.

90 + 4': Churchill holding onto the ball in the wings on the top of the pitch. Showing real sense and temperament. Bengaluru throwing everything at their opposition.

90 +3': ChesterPoul Lyngdoh, scorers of the last goal, is the man of the match. Chhetri trying to dribble past two defenders, but outnumbered.

90 + 2': Another counter. Sohrabuddin runs on the right wing. Lyngdoh brings him down for the free kick near the right corner.

90': Lyngdoh takes a corner for Bengaluru but is headed wide.

89': Anthony D'Souza comes in on the place of Lyngdoh! Added time four minutes. Chhetri still trying. Shot takes deflection for corner.

87': The game commences. Bengaluru down to 10 men and chasing the score now. The visitors have a lot of strikers on the pitch but have no one to play good balls into the final third. ChesterPal Lyngdoh is taken off on the stretcher.

85': John Johnson might be in for a long suspension. Stones and bottles being thrown on the Bengaluru camp as the security takes in! Such drama on the sideline is not really good for the game.!

85': SIdeline drama with the technical areas fighting it out after Johnson's red card! The match referee needs write some strict review. Alfred Fernandes is down after the commotion.

84': A great run from Ricardo Costa and John Johnson tackles in! Its a red for the English defender.

82': Mandar crosses a bit too into the goal to be caught by Priyant, who falls awkwardly and is on the ground and receiving treatment.

80': Chhetri given a good pass outside the box from Vineeth. The captain plays a heavy pass to Eugeneson who gives away a handball, not being able to control it.

79': Alwyn George goes off to make space for Daniel. Bengaluru piling on the strikers to get at least a point.

77': Sohrabuddin leaves Mandar for dead again and crosses in, only to be held by Amrinder. Low cross and something was on for the hosts!

74': Impressive stuff from Churchill again! Counter attack, Surchandra lets it rolling from his left only for Amrinder to parry it away! Churchill win another corner but to no avail.

73': Brilliant save from Priyant Singh. Saved Vineeth from a absolute goal. CK taps in from dead range from a Dessai cut in. Bengaluru wins a corner.

70': Chhetri displays moment of brilliance and leaves three CB defenders at Mars. Brilliant footwork, only to be denied by a crowded defence.

67': Anthony Wolfe playing almost like a false. Ghost-tackles Alwyn George and takes the ball away to win possession.

61': Nishu Kumar and Norales are replaced by Mandar Rao Dessai and Udanta Singh to give Bengaluru the much-needed impetus and energy going forward.

60': Churchill break on the counter again, with Anthony Wolfe again providing a brilliant through-ball. The excited winger just shoots over.

60': Cameron Watson finds Nishu Kumar with a delightful long pass. The side back controls well, but cannot cross it in.

57': Another shot from young Lyngdoh, from the left from his weaker foot. Not too much power into it, Amrinder collects easily.

55': Bengaluru FC showing intent. Piling on the attacks, the Blues win a corner after a stinging striker from captain Chhetri, but Priyant Singh collects a difficult delivery.

54': Brilliant take from Wolfe who threated a brilliant ball to the left side, in the path of the onrushing Lyngdoh. The yongster controls well and places brilliantly at the far bottom corner.

54': Chester Pal Lyngdoh scores! Anthony Wolfe with a class assist!

53': Sohrabuddin gets a lot of space on the right flank but wastes a good opportunity. Seems to get over-anxious for shooting.

50': Norales and George link up well to win a corner. The ball is put in by Watson but Churchill break on the counter. Sohrabuddin Mollick shoots just over the bar.

Second half begins as the team make their way back on the pitch. Bengaluru FC would expect their midfielders to control the game better going into the last 45 minutes.

Half-time review:

Both teams were off to a slow start and Bengaluru FC were not playing themselves in. Churchill Brothers played the patient, waiting game and were rewarded for it, breaking on the counter on a number of occasions.

Bengaluru's midfield needs to step up and create more. Churchill Brothers' young winger Mollick has been impressive, beating Nishu Kumar thrice all ends up. In Bengaluru's attack, there has been some good link-up play between Vineeth and Norales, but the final pass has been lacking.

It will be interesting to see whether the coaches make any changes going into the second half.

45 + 2': Half-time whistle and both teams have shared the spoils. Chhetri and Wolfe have scored the goals for their teams as the teams go into the tunnel.

43': Two minutes of added time to be played on the Tilak Maidan. Scores still level at 1-1.

42': Corner for CB. Surchandra Singh takes it and the ball crosses everyone for a throw in. Mollick impressing on the right wing for Churchill.

42': Nishu Kumar crosses and Norales should've done better with his header.

36': Long balls at both ends with keepers playing the collecting role quite comfortably.

33': Amrinder Singh doesn't comes out and Wolfe finishes from a long ball from the back.

33': Anthony Wolfe scores!

31': Juanan booked for a foul on Wolfe. Albert Roca shocked on the ref's decision.

30': Bengaluru controlling the tempo in the middle of the pitch, with slow build ups and Chhetri needing to come down to create things.

29': Brilliant cross from Sunil Chhetri, Norales misss to keep a free header on target.

21': Meanwhile, Fulganco Cardozo has been booked for the tackel which led to the penalty.

21': Sunil Chhetri scores! The captain is on the scoresheet against CB, the third time running.  With power and precision, the captain sends the goalkeeper the wrong way to score in the top left corner.

20': PENALTY! A great back heel from Vineeth saw Norales, who was blocked by a Churchill defender.

19': Both teams trying to get the ball forward but not being able to release the final pass. No real passing session.

13': Sunil Chhetri finds Vineeth with a delightful through ball which was played across by the top scorer of the season, finding no one and going out for a goal kick.

11': Churchill wins a corner. Amrinder collected quite comfortably.

09': Vineeth should've tried a shot but was crowded by too many Churchill defenders.

07': Chhetri tries to curl one into the far post from the left side, but easy pickings for the opposition goalkeeper.

06': Surchandra sends a ball into Bengaluru's box from a free kick just from the half way line, Amrinder handles comfortably.

05': No real link up from both teams, a nervy start. Both teams trying long balls, Bengaluru enjoying a little more possession.

02': Johnson plays a long ball forward but Priyant is alert and handles the ball cleanly.

00': The sides take the field for kick-off with Bengaluru FC on the ball.
