Mumbai head coach believes that Indian football is in transition...
Mumbai FC head coach Santosh Kashyap will have a tough task in the I-League match when his side will face the former two-time champions Churchill Brothers SC at Tilak Maidan, Vasco tomorrow.
The head coach Kashyap started the pre-match media interaction by congratulating Churchill for back in the league.
“It always gives me happiness to be in Goa and congratulations to Churchill Brothers as they are back after three years' break,” Kashyap said.
He further said “But again sad also that other three Goan clubs have pulled out the league. It happens as Indian football is in transition, some good things are happening and some bad things also but at last we need to look out for the betterment of the Indian football.”
The 50-year-old Mumbai tactician was confident ahead of the clash against the Red Machines and wants his players to repeat their performance from the last match.
“We got a great start, it was a fantastic match against a very strong team, DSK Shivajians. My players did a fantastic job and we came out victorious and we would like to repeat the same here also” he said.
He is also aware that a win against the Goan club will be not so easy and said “Churchill Brothers are a very good team and they have a excellent setup. I hope to play attacking and effective football tomorrow. I Hope that it will be a great match for both the teams and for the fans of Goa, ”
Anthony Wolfe is most likely to start for Churchill tomorrow but Mumbai coach Kashyap is not worried about it and said, “I believe in my players, opponent’s team is not in my control. We have already played against four foreigners in the last match against DSK Shivajians and my players did an excellent job for me,”
