Full Time: Kerala Blasters 2-1 FC Pune City

As 90 minutes are up in Kochi, Kerala Blasters have taken a huge step towards a top 4 spot. The home team have become the first team to win 4 home games in a row which places them in third spot for now. The visitors will have to look back on an eventually disappointing season as they are pretty much out of the tournament.

At half time, Kerala Blasters go in with full confidence and the lead. Pune have had a lot of possession but created little. The home team meanwhile have found more space and hit Pune hard on the counter. The second half should be exciting with Pune desperately chasing goals.

Duckens Nazon rides two challenges from the defenders to slot the ball home & gives Kerala Blasters an important lead.


45+1' Pune just not finding the finishing ball in here. Meanwhile Kerala continue to counter with Vineeth.

45' Pune now earn Another free kick as two minutes are added on.

44' Lucca's free kick is cleared by Kerala.

43' Great chance for Kerala now! Vineeth gets in and behind the Pune defence and his shot is expertly toed away be Edel.




42' The free kick almost results in a goal! Somehow the ball crossed is cleared off the line for a goal kick.

32' Kerala finding space much more easily in offence. Rafi's cross is met by Vineeth but his header isn't strong enough.

29' Kerala look more dangerous in attack. They win a comer this time.Nothing comes off it.

27' Pune put in a dangerous free kick but it's cleared. The visitors continue the pressure though.

26' Anibal's shot is from 40 yards and was never troubling anyone.

25' The game's been a battle in midfield so far after the early goal.

15' Kerala are able to counter attack from the resulting corner. They eventually win a free kick too.

14' Pune starting to look dangerous. They earn a corner.

10' Josu puts a ball in. The clearing header falls for Rafi but his half volley goes wide.

7' GOOOALLLL!! Nazon Scored for Kerala.The number 78 is put through after Pune fail to get a through ball clear. Nazon shoes pace and strength and places the shot perfectly in the corner.

6' An acrobatic overhead kick from CK Vineeth! But the attempt goes over.

5' Kerala again get into good positions but Belfort and Nazon just can't find space for a shot.

3' Kerala almost create the first shot with a through ball for Nazon.

1' The formalities are done with, and we have kick off!

6:50 pm Kerala Blasters are the only team in ISL 2016 to have won 3 back-to-back matches at home. After losing their first home game of the season against NorthEast United, Kerala Blasters are on a 4-match unbeaten streak at home. Their tally of 10 points at home is the joint most by any team in ISL 2016 (along with Delhi and Mumbai). No team has ever managed to win 4 consecutive league stage matches at home. Will Kerala Blasters manage to create a new record with a win?

6:40 pm Pune have been one of the more unpredictable sides of the league, but still find themselves fourth. Kerala meanwhile, are fifth and behind their opponents only on goal difference.

6:30 pm In an incredibly close season of the Hero ISL, both Pune and Kerala know their campaigns depend on this game. A win here would not be enough, but would go a very long way towards qualification for playoffs. So, we should be in for a thrilling encounter.
