Kenkre FC host Delhi United in I-League Second Division clash

Delhi United will make their claime for an I-league berth when they face Kenkre FC at Cooperage Ground in Mumbai on Sunday. Its their first fixture in the second tier's final round for both clubs. It is going to be an interesting battle as both the teams finished in second place in their respective groups and have lost just one match.

Team News

Kenkre playing at home will have an advantage. The coach Ekendra Singh has a strong squad at his dispose and will certainly look to name an unchanged side for this match.

Delhi United have strengthened the squad by signing some players on loan such as Nitesh Chikkara which will give coach Anshul Katiyaar more options.


This will be the first clash between the two sides.

Yao Kouassi Bernard-Kenkre FC: Their star striker has already scored 3 goals in the group stages. The Ivorian hitman is strong in the air and has a good finishing touch. His powerful shots from outside the box can trouble any keeper and with his brilliance he can change the tide of the game at any point of time.

Khwetelhi Thopi-Delhi United FC: The former Rangdajied United and Aizawl FC player is the key man in the midfield department. With his experience and final balls he can easily cause problems in the opponent's half.
