The intensity of the Mizoram Premier League is rising up every time the teams take the pitch.
The final fixture of round 6 of the Mizoram Premier League season 6 ended in an entertaining albeit goalless draw against champions Chanmari FC and Bethlehem Vengthlang FC.
After a slip up from league leaders Chhinga Veng FC early on in the day, it was a good opportunity for both teams to gain more ground towards the top of the table.
And both teams were determined to get a result from the get-go. Bethlehem Vengthlang FC struck the bar early on with an effort from Rammawia, while Vanlalbiaa could not find the target for Chanmari FC.
Both teams seem to cancel out each other as MS Dawngzela's goal was ruled offside just to minutes after the same thing happened to Alex Whitemore at the other end.
Bethlehem Vengthlang FC were given a golden chance on the 37th minute after they had won a penalty. Lalrammawia stepped up but his effort was brilliantly saved by Lalmuanawma.
The action continued in the same manner after the break as Vanlalthanga and Lalrammawia were thwarted by Chanmari FC's custodian Lalmuanawma.
The champions did not fare better themselves as Alex Whitemore could not find the target while Muanzova and Muanawma provided sparks but could not find the end target.
Chanmari FC's Muanawma proved a hero late on with a brilliant save against Lalrammawia to deny BVT FC a late goal.
Muanawma was deservedly named the man of the match for his heroic efforts on goal for the current champions.
