The Chelsea second assistant was involved in an unsavoury incident on the touchline with Jose Mourinho.

Jose Mourinho's life at Old Trafford has been a topsy-turvy ride since his arrival in 2016. The Portuguese tactician has marshalled his men to a convincing Europa League win but life has not been easy for the manager since then. This season things have gone downhill for both Jose and Manchester United.

But when the Portuguese was on the verge of a famous victory at Stamford Bridge courtesy of a Anthony Martial brace, the Red Devils were denied by Ross Barley's last-gasp equaliser to keep the Blues' unbeaten in the League intact. The strike from Barkley came right at the dying minutes of the match and it asked for exuberant celebrations from the Chelsea camp. In the heat of the moment, assistant coach Marco Ianni took it a bit further and went down the touchline to celebrate in front of the United dugout.

The reactions resulted in an ugly spat as Mourinho was also agitated with the actions. But the matter was back to normal after some time as both Ianni and Sarri apologised to the United gaffer after the match. Now before things go out of hand Sky Sports understands that the Italian manager has been given the right by the club to take whatever action necessary.

The FA is also waiting for match referee Mike Dean's report on the incident and will decide whether to any further actions based on it.

Maurizio was also not happy with the Chelsea fans and their reaction towards Mourinho. According to the Italian, the club and the fans should not forget what Jose has done for the club.

The Blues manager said, "Yes. Mourinho here has won and so I think that we need to respect him and to respect everybody who has won a trophy for the club."

Keeping the three Premier League titles aside, the Portuguese tactician has also won three League Cups, one FA Cup and a Community Shield for the Blues. Although his form being an away manager at the Bridge has been pretty underwhelming, losing on his previous three visits with the Red Devils.

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has accepted that the mistake is on their part and has apologised and is certainly not happy with how things turned out there in and off the field. His disappointment was clear as he said, " I am not really happy. After I spoke to Jose, I understood we were on the wrong side of the situation."

Now only time will tell that how the Blues gaffer will react to the situation and what awaits for the assistant coach, Marco Ianni after the club has declared no interference in this matter.
