Maurizio Sarri reveals that if Eden Hazard wants he can leave Stamford Bridge
The Belgian has been a hot property in the transfer market for quite some time.
Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has revealed that his talismanic forward Eden Hazard is free to leave the club if he wants but the former Napoli gaffer hopes that the Belgian stays at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard, 28 has been linked with Real Madrid on numerous occasions in recent times and the intensity has increased after Cristiano Ronaldo had left Madrid for his new club Juventus in July 2018.
Even the Belgian forward expressed his desire to play for Real Madrid last October as he went on saying that a move to the reigning European Champions will be a dream come true.
Chelsea are currently looking to extend Hazard's contract which runs through next season and the Londoners have a risk of losing him for free next season if he does not renew his current contract now.
"Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go," Sarri told reporters ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash at Bournemouth.
Hazard has been very crucial to Sarri's Blues as the winger has netted ten goal and as many assists in the Premier League this season. The Belgian has often played in a central role in false nine formation and has done a commendable job especially when the strikers were misfiring for the Italian.
However, now Sarri is reunited with Gonzalo Higuain after their Napoli days, it is expected that Hazard will return to his favoured left wing with Higuain taking the fair share of goalscoring responsibilities for the Blues.
"It's my job to improve him and put him in a position to do his best," Sarri added.

With Chelsea currently in the fourth position in the League table, Sarri still got his task cut out as both Arsenal and Manchester United are hot on their heels and will be looking to capitalise on any mistake made by the Blues to pip them from a top-four finish and direct Champions League qualification next season. Now it will interesting to see whether Chelsea and Sarri can keep hold of Hazard or will the Belgian leave for Santiago Bernabeu soon.
