The Red Devils' boss also revealed that he wants his side to be more 'ambitious.'
Jose Mourinho believes that his side were not convincing enough to finish Saturday's game on an winning note. The Portuguese manager said that his side were not good enough and deserved no more than a point.
Manchester United's three-game winning streak came to an end yesterday as newly- promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers forced them to share the spoils at Old Trafford. United's new signing Fred scored his first ever goal for the club to hand his team a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute, which was cancelled out by Wolves' Joao Moutinho in the 53rd minute.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Mourinho clearly expressed that his side performed well below the expected standards.
"We don't deserve more than the point, The performance was not good enough to get the three points. I want to see a start with concentration, with intensity, with ambition, which did not happen. We spoke about it in the dressing room at half-time, but the start of the second half was similar," Mourinho said.
"When we scored the first goal, we did not deserve much. They started better than us but we were the team that scored the first goal. I then expect the team to be more intense, more ambitious and to go for it. We were too passive. I want my team to play better," he asserted.
