With the January transfer window fast approaching, clubs around Europe will be looking to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season.
The latest name that is doing the rounds on the European transfer mill is that of the young Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder, Ruben Neves. The Portuguese midfielder has been linked to several clubs in England including the two Manchester giants, following his impressive performances for his side following their promotion to the top flight.

As reported by Tuttosport, a publication in Italy, Neves’ agent, Jorge Mendes was in Italy on Wednesday where he first met Juventus’ sporting director, Fabio Paratici in Milan and then the president of the club, Andrea Agnelli in Turin.
The visit was said to be a sign of goodwill to confirm the excellent relationship that exists between the parties, with Mendes already having secured deals with Juventus for Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Cancelo over the summer. It is reported that the possibilities of new signings for Allegri’s side were discussed over the course of this meeting, with the name of Reuben Neves being at the forefront of these talks.
[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]Neves has long been tracked by Juve, ever since his FC Porto days and could serve as a long-term replacement for the injury-prone Sami Khedira. However, Wolves see Neves as their most valuable asset and will likely expect a massive pay off if they are to let him leave the club with four and a half years left on his contract.
This massive price point may be a hurdle for the team from Turin as they look to build a squad that is capable of lifting the Champion’s League trophy. The Old Lady also enquired about the availability of several of Mendes’ other clients, including David De Gea, James Rodriguez and Ruben Diaz.
