The Gunners are at the fifth position with seven points out of four games.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has shown optimism ahead of their match against Watford after suffering a heavy a 3-1 defeat against Liverpool last month just before the International break. Mohamed Salah got a brace on that night with Joel Matip being the only other goalscorer for the Reds as Lucas Torreira found the net for the Gunners.

In the next game, Emery's men again falter in the North London derby which ended 2-2. The Gunners are currently in the fifth position with seven points from four matches and the Spaniard will hope that his team will get back to winning ways against Watford.

Also, Emery gave an optimistic reply to Dani Ceballos' evaluation of Liverpool as a team. "Every player when they come to new competition and a new team, they need some adaptation," Emery said ahead of the Gunners' clash with Watford.

"He is playing, he played for example in Liverpool and he told us that he knew in that moment how difficult it is to play in the Premier League, above all against a team like Liverpool."

"That’s good. He recognises he needs that adaptation. In each match, each training, it’s very important for him to adapt faster with us, with the new idea, with the new team and new team-mates and opposing teams."

"Really, his wish is very important for helping us and giving us his skills and his quality for each training and each match."

The whole topic was raised when the Real Madrid loanee spoke highly about Jurgen Klopp's men after their heavy defeat. Ceballos explained how well drilled and cohesive side the Reds are which he has not seen anywhere until now.

"I've never seen anything like what I saw at Anfield," Ceballos told the Guardian. "I haven't seen a team that plays better, that presses like them, the way the fans carry them along."

“They take the air from you. You spend so much time defending and when you want to do something with the ball when you want to breathe, they're back on top of you. They're very well-drilled."

"We can’t compare it at the moment."

Arsenal will face Watford on Sunday away from home at the Vicarage Road. The Hornets have recently sacked their head coach Javi Gracia with Quique Sanchez Flores returning to the Premier League outfit for his second stint.

Flores is expected to plug the defensive loopholes present in the Watford backline and knowing the club's philosophy and the expectations from the fans will help Flores to work accordingly. However, facing Arsenal in his first match will be a tough test for the Spanish tactician.
